GAME DAY - ROUND 1, 2013

Featured Replies

Wake me up in 2018 if we still exist

Sellar would play just as well with no hands!

This is so crap.

For all his mean cliches, Neeld has actually taken this team backwards. At least under DB we occasionally played footy that was worth watching. God we suck.

Eff this [censored], what am I watching? Go [censored] yourself MFC.

I cannot believe that a major listed player on our list said that he thought Viney was full of himself. I tell you what he is because he is way above many.

Give us a name!

Mitch Clark! Please no. I am seriously going to spew

for all of those who complain about the media giving the club a hard time - now do you know why?!! we are a rabble and we are irrelevant. the media are jsut saying it as it is.

We are the worst side in the league and now Clark is down.

Bring me a bottle.

Clark down. Knee I reckon. Coming off. Left. Can't remember which side his foot was!??

I'm dead inside.

If Clark is seriously injured you can just not bother turning up.

You could see this result coming a mile away. It's nothing but talk coming out of this club.

Clearly Wines is the better one between him and Toumpas.

Even got that one wrong

Eat a bag of dicks.

I feel sick, pedersen can't weight a ball to Clark running into open goal and now Clark's injured again HANG YOUR HEAD IN SHAME CAM PEDERSEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The effort of the majority of this team is disgusting and for Don Mclardy to come out and have a go at certain supporters he should shut the [censored] up because I think what we get dished up is so poor it's impossible to continue wanting to support. I will always support them but it's is firstly embarassing but more importantly an insult to us as supporters to see this crap!

Will Neeld see out the season?

Seriously I'm normally not one to adopt a "sky is falling down" attitude after one game but this is disgusting.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
