Brent Moloney @ Brisbane

Moloney has a ball & chain around his ankle. Has for years.

We will benefit in his absence. The team can move forward.

Maloney seems to struggle more when his team is having a bad day........will be good to see how we'll the Lions go in 2013 season proper, if Demons finish above Lions then Voss will be in the crosshairs.

Except for that year he won our BnF hey... No need to hate, he needed to move on, he did, he gave us some good years and one terrible one.

Doesn't mean [censored]... Been watching the game and he still has his bad habits Bombing it long to no one, trying to take on 10 blokes etc..

Ignore the stats I have watched the game. Typical game where he wins the ball and kicks to no one.

Fair enough. Just don't see why we have to hate on him, gave us some good years, left when it was due etc.

Fair enough Stuie but how influential are those stats.....it's not like the Dogs would say gee Moloney was dangerous more like gee Moloney was average dont u agree? And I don't hate Moloney at all.

I'm not watching the game so I was only going by stats and was happy to defer to those watching, but just thought his stats didn't support what you were saying at the time.

I have no ill feelings towards Beamer, but I'm glad we let him go because he wasn't going to do anything with us. I hope he keep racking up possessions, I've got him in my dreamteam!

Haha stats!

Let me relay what Eddie commentated a few minutes ago, as has become standard throughout Moloney's matches:

"...Moloney finishes up with the ball and sends it inside 50... And it comes back out again courtesy of Cooney..."

All I said was that he was slow, poor overhead and inconsistent because I was actually watching him play that way his stats don't disprove my comments......I'll move on

IT was more about you saying he goes missing when his team is struggling, which was often true for us, but as I said I was only going by stats as I'm unable to watch the game, and the stats didn't seem to support that view.

Just watched Beamer look slow and one dinensional and Martin look lost.

I am sure both will get better but who cares really.

This wasn't a good day for all those people who think that the NAB Cup should be taken seriously.

The Lions were dismantled as NAB Premiers.

They also sold half as much hope for that title as they burnt today.

You're not wrong. Stats are half the story. Brisbane's mids put no defensive pressure on their opponents and their NAB Cup star (Rich) got no protection. These issues are long acknowledged flaws in Beamers game, (not that he is wholly responsible) but he was part of a dreadful effort today.

Voss will learn quickly (should already know from watching Melbourne games) that Martin isn't a forward. Should have started him in the ruck. Minson pulled Longer's pants down from the first bounce.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
