  1. I was focused on skills and was impressed by Petracca, Vandenberg kicking well particularly in small spaced games. On the flip side Hunt, Harmes, Langdon, Brayshaw and Viney missed 50% of their passes to lead up forwards. When they couldn't do better than 50% to talls like Jackson, Weideman it was demoralizing to watch.
  2. Great win, great joy for the entire Melbourne Football club, so much improvement to go but take that and enjoy the week
  3. Huge opportunity to get the win today, time to get some payback
  4. Better bring on a bloke who is about to retire (Davey) wouldn't want Taggert to get some experience, Neil Craig is hopeless
  5. oh and Tapscott, Byrnes .......I can't believe how many passengers we carry. Taggert and Davis can't get a game but these blokes play [censored] everyweek
  6. All I said was that he was slow, poor overhead and inconsistent because I was actually watching him play that way his stats don't disprove my comments......I'll move on
  7. Fair enough Stuie but how influential are those stats.....it's not like the Dogs would say gee Moloney was dangerous more like gee Moloney was average dont u agree? And I don't hate Moloney at all.
  8. Maloney seems to struggle more when his team is having a bad day........will be good to see how we'll the Lions go in 2013 season proper, if Demons finish above Lions then Voss will be in the crosshairs.
  9. Watching Brent Moloney against Bulldogs: Slow, poor overhead and inconsistent ... not disappointed to see him playing for Lions.
  10. Bruce omitted Petterd injured Bring in Jordie Mckenzie and Bail
  11. Agreed, superior workrate leads to opportunities and that goal was pretty special he had the ability to run and dob a beauty, seems ready to become our version of Ling
  12. Just watched a replay and amazed how good he Jordy was. This bloke is a keeper. at the bounce down he stands in the right spot usually in front of his man and either clears it or tackles. Runs all day goes forward and back real, real hard all day long. Good disposal. Jordy is a different player to Scull and Trengove but is currently more valuable and might just be the most underated player on the list. Anyone else think that Jordy has a genuine chance of becoming a great player?
  13. Refreshing change, can't recall anyone other than Neitz handling a 3 on 1. The thing that impresses me is that Martin keeps his feet so well and just kept on going after the ball hit the deck. Can't underestimate the value of talls who can contest and then hold the ball in your forwad line. Brisbane got nervous and it gave everyone else either a rest or the chance to get free. Hopefully with Watts coming in to the team later on in the season it will be handy for Jack to have Martin alongside him. It was certainly handy for Bruce to be able to kick it forward rather than go side ways. Two genuinely quick and versatile talls coming into our forward line
  14. Hats off to the FD for getting both Martin and Garland back in. Great effort by the bigman Martin, he looks ready to kick a couple of goals and seemed to unsettle the Lions with his pace, gave us great depth around the ground and gave Jamar a well earned break.... to those who also thought he would get a game I salute you, to those that didn't se la vi. I thought Col made some mistakes by tackling Lions players without the ball but then improved dramatically to get in front and outmark Staker. Col seems very quick and gave Frawley and Warnock assistance as the game wore on. Very happy with our tactics, effort and execution
  15. Here, here Cam Bruce's disposal is unreliable and every chance of being fugly by hand or foot; Every time Bruce gets the pill its a heart and mouth time for everyone because its a lottery as to whether we will be able to retain possession; Its clear that most people recognise Cam is flawed, please stop this obsession with seeking to portray him as reliable with his disposal when he clearly is not
  16. The main reason is because Bruce is not a good bad pacy defender and Martin is plus so much more. mate, I have had enough of Bruce's mistakes and lack of impact, he cannot kick a goal from 30m out. I am sick of players beating him forcing the FD to make a change because he is being out played and his softness with the way he does an emergency handball to anyone just kills me Bruce was the weak link against Adelaide and nws 29 possessions against Richmond he just doesn't do it for me. Because Martin is taller, quicker and has huge upside whereas perservering with Bruce feels like settling for second best rather than improving Just my opinion I've read all the pro-Bruce comments over the last 4 weeks and believe the bad outweighs the good Bruce is so far behind Martin time to give him the week off, I used to rate Bruce but I'm over it and Martin deserves his chance
  17. Bruce is the one to go mate, Stef runs rings around him
  18. Versatile and talented Martin has kicked 8 in his last 2 VFL games, he was good value down back in 2008 and 2009 a very quick player and spent summer training as a ruck I hope he comes in
  19. Nice one Mousey, given the games played difference I am not sure we can take much from the stats. Trengove is the draftee with the best pedigree and I think he might be better than Scully if the reports about his games for Sturt are anything to go buy. I am inclined to take the path of least risk and draft Scully and Trengove however, I am concerned that Watts and Jurrah in the forward line is not going to be enough and a forward line with Watts out injured for a while is a further cause for concern. I can't decide yet...........need to wait until after draft camp. PS the wife said go for one of the mids and get the best kpf with the next pick
  20. Yes mate, I saw him play this year and he was a standout reminds me of a speedy Hird in the way he knows where to run to and can win a game off his own boot.
  21. Make no mistake this bloke will bring the excitement and skill to the MFC. The Pies and North are both cursing MFC for picking up this bloke who has been the standout player in the Northern Territory in 2008. Jurrah is blessed with: (a) pace to burn; (B) great disposal; © courage; (d) leadership; and (e) determination to win the hard ball. I hope he can adjust to life and the weather in Melbourne. Ideally I see Jurrah playing in the forward pocket changing on the wing. This bloke is a gun in the making. Well done MFC.
