You really are a self important one, aren,t you?

You don't even know what a personal attack is.

Reread my message to you without prejudice and you, even you, will see there is nothing of a PERSONAL nature there.

It is a statement of principle.

And yes, I have done my pro bono work for the club, for years.

And what is your response? You call me a simpleton and then complain about a personal attack.

Tell ya what: tell your story. I reckon we know what it's worth already.

Self important? Interesting....

I don't believe you did anything for the club actually...

Tell ya what: you won't be reading it.

HG,

Please ignore those that just want to read that we have training up to an elite level and just need to get some more games into the players and then we'll be good. I for one am really looking forward to some insight from you mate. I've loved this club for 30 years, given a lot of money and stood by them while family members dropped off. This is more important than upsetting a few that wont be at the club in a few years anyway.

As a genuine supporter of the club with a long term perspective I implore you to tell what you saw. Something is very wrong at the club that you clearly care deeply for. You can help be being honest about what you experienced.

Thanks mate (and thanks for what you've done for the club)

I do not beleive what people say about Neeld. He is not the only coach on game day, so it would be hard to conclude that he has no game day coaching abilities. He would be listening to the other coaches on game day including Neil Craig. I would write off that he is not a game day coach. I am not sure what is wrong though I find it extremely unlikely that ALL the coaches would have no idea on game day but be so sharp with training.

Mate what I will say has nothing to do with Saturdays result. There's smart enough people around here who know what's going on without me having to say what we can all see....

If HG is on the money this goes way deeper than match day coaching.

I always thought it did. Some people get sick of me mentioning 186 but it is what it is. I have always been amazed that most people kept their jobs after that day.

They won't this time.

I dis-agree, they will continue to keep their jobs.

I cannot see an end to this for a long long time sadly :(

Hell, we even have volunteers walking away ffs. I mean if something going on is pissing off volunteers then imagine how everyone else is feeling.

And where did I say I was happy about the first round, nowhere, so how about you get your facts right first!!

You call supporters who are vocal about our performance keyboard warriors. You suggest that a bloke being honest about his insights into what is going on at the club has low character for threatening to make those misgivings public.

I dont know the first thing about you mate, but ive paid my hard earned for many years for this club and all I hear lately from inside sources suggests that the club may have some level of internal disfunction that is hamstringing the player's performance. i wouldnt mind knowing about that if its true and I wouldnt mind it being rectified if it is true so that we can move on from it.

I think every paying member has a right to hear what might be going on at the club to explain the performance on sunday. Simple as that.

So basically i view anyone who suggests that supporters whinging as being a 'keyboard warrior' is a load.

Good luck with the expose HG. Just be careful not to put yourself in any legal trouble or get Colin (not this one) in trouble. I look forward to reading your post.

Have faith in the members mate.

We drew our own line in the sand on sunday.

If this gets worse it will be opened up very quickly.

Modern Media will see to that. I bet journos have been following this site all day. 'Land is well known.

I for one want to know whats happening inside the inner sanctum. This club has been too exclusive for too long and whilst I know that the truth might be unpalatable I still want hear it. It's time this festering sore was lanced. Please take care with what you right HG and cover your own arse as well as Col's.

Too exclusive?? The Melbourne football club gives more to their members information wise than any. Do you want to know what goes on at board level? If you do then run for a ticket. I would be more concerned If the club was leaking information from high places. The MFC is a professional organisation run by successful professionals. I will back my club until the end.

Hells Gates you sound like a kid that has taken his ball and gone home. Don't let the door hit you on the way out champ.

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.
