Surely you've heard of APIA Old Dee.

Custom built to fleece pensioners.

I found APIA to be very competitive and were great when paying out a claim.......You actually get to speak with real people....Very rare these days........

Just noticed Progressive Insurance seems to have disappeared from our website as a named sponsor.

just checked the MFC web site Vagg

Still listed as a sponsor

Really? I'm blowed if I can find any reference to them on the MFC site. In fact, at the bottom of their home page, where they list their sponsors, they show only Webjet, Opel, Hertz, New Balance & Peter Werth...

Coles Insurance are buying customers at the moment, guaranteeing to beat any other quote

get the best quote you can then ring them

I did and scan/emailed them last year's policy which was then the cheapest i found (and incidentally this year's renewal was $120 dearer for less sum insured which i did not scan/email)

they beat that price by $5, so I accepted

expect i will go through whole charade again next year

dc I am involved in the supplier to Coles industry among other things.

They are the greatest bunch of pricks this side of the black stump.

I would not buy from Coles if they were the last insurance company on Earth.

Rather drive around uninsured than give them $1.

And RobbieF don't touch them with a 100ft. barge pole.

PS that is the only way to keep the price down.

Keep changing company's.

We don't handle domestic insurance and I use a recognised insurer for my cars. I don't care as much about the price as I do about the product.

If my premium is around last years I just renew if it's gone up by a lot I ask them why and if they don't budge I'll maybe look around but I have more important priorities.

i know where you are coming from od

the supermarket duopoly is a blight both on customers and suppliers

but it will only be improved by better competition and maybe regulation

the first think government should do is break the petrol/supermarket nexus. surely it is against trade practices regulations, but nobody has the guts to tackle it

boycotting won't work

I got hounded for another 3 as well I had already bought 3 and I must say I'm a bit sick of them ringing me every year to buy more.

I've got a few $50 scratches but that's all.

They are destroying the entire food chain slowly and deliberately.

Grow your own veg if you can and avoid them like the plague.

They are a menace to the food supply and society.

Coles are not an insurer they are simply acting as agents for Lumley General Insurance (Part of Westfarmers) so they receive commission on sales.

Have a look at your agreed value and you will see that it agreed value or market value whichever is the lesser.

I know they are just an agent

the terms of policy matched what i already had emailed them and insured value is market value only

How about that!? Following your link shows quite a large list of sponsors, including Progressive. But, just going straight to the website, I see no way of navigating to that page. As I said before, when I go to the home page, there's just the handful of sponsors mentioned, and Progressive aint one of them. Strange. Ah well...!!

Forget moral and social issues (whatever they are) and get to the point. Can I get an insurer who will believe that my barbecued alpacas have really been struck by lightening?

Go to the MFC website, roll over where it says "the club", click on sponsors.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
