NAB CUP 2: PORT ADELAIDE

Featured Replies

Good Stuff Demons. A B side win out if town, i will take that.

Looking forward to next saturday now.

Cold cans on the grass

First time we've beaten a "genuine" AFL side in any form of the game since Round 10 last year against Thompson's Bombres. It's only the NAB but a win is better than the alternative, especially for the players' confidence. If we can back it up next week then we might take a little momentum into the real deal.

WYL you just beat me.

A win interstate is great, but a win in the outback of Bogan Renmark is a miracle.

GO DEES

Cold water.

You mean cold shower?

Doom and gloomers can say what they want, I love a win. Very happy but would love a player report

Sellar is a better ruck than Pederson and now he has added goalkicking to the varaibles. Sellar has always been a repeat effort stat

WEll its nice not to have to wait until r10 for a win. It may be a nab cup game but at least we can pick up the papers tomorrow to read about a demon victory.

Looking foward to going to casey for my 1st visit to watch them.

I have Sellar ahead of Pederson... and I am a Pedo fan!

Why? Sellar played the whole game, Going by stats. pedo was a sub. 1 kick 1 handball.

Now if he played all day for those stats. he wouldn't play again.

Just out of interest does anyone know how the players got there today? What form of transport and from where to where??

flew in locally i think, that was how i read the website update yesterday. Photo on fb

Are there flights from Melb to Renmark?? Probably is I suppose.

small jets and freight for sure

Sellar, maybe in lieu of Clark.

But when Clark comes back in, then Pedo' time.

Tackle count well in our favour. Many believe this is the key stat

And clearances.

Some interesting stats amongst the stats: Jetta 20 possessions at 90% efficiency, with Terlich not far behind. Strauss and Evans also seem to be able to hit targets. On the other hand ... Magner, 41% disposal efficiency, including 5 clangers? OK, under pressure around the clearances, but is undoing a lot of his good work.

Terlich Kent and Matt Jones in contention for Round 1

Is Neeld doing a press conference?

Jetta 20 possessions at 90% efficiency is fantastic to see. Well done to the lad.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
