Gee JR you are making me feel old.

I remember those times.

I actually have about $2000 worth of cameras and equipment that is almost worthless these days .

Used to develop my self etc.

Digitial is so much easier and so much cheaper.

However it does not make you a good photographer.

That still takes skill.

yes od i am hearing you , , it does teach you a lot about different things using the old film slr , and i still think about that now , but todays camera does it for you and it knows , lol , if you dont like the pic just plug into puter and fix it , hahahaha yeah i know that cheating a bit but results are what counts , but gimme digital any day , so much more you can do , your $2000 worth of camera gear is now worth zip , , what is it by the way ?

I always use my DSLR in manual mode because I want to feel that I am in control. The biggest difference between DSLR and older film SLRs is obviously the fact you get instant feedback and can take a shot again if you want (well, that doesn't apply to action shots) - when used in manual mode, that is a great teaching tool.

Kent is going to fit in nicely, a genuine goal kicking midfielder.

Hogan will be an absolute superstar.

He aint just a big forward.......have you seen how good he is below his knees. and how hard he works and runs

Great pics

and especially good to see the one on one contests

were we manning up better and not allowing loose man?

Looked like not too many times we were 2 to 1 in the air so no loose man and even in the packs we seemed to always have one in for the ball with the rest waiting for release. Seemed a defensive set up rather than man on man as such as often it appeared that the saints were on one side of the scrimmage and we were on the other??

I owe you a banana (see the T$ thread for clarification).

If you have any more snapshots of the team running out with the mascots, please let me know.

WJ.

I did have a couple more shots of the mascots running out. Unfortunately I was on the far side of the ground and had the focal length set at 70mm which means that I did not get any closeups. I have cropped them to get in a bit closer.

There was a photo journalist there who was in close who was taking pictures of the kids. (See the 3rd shot) The club may be able to put you in contact with him.

Here is a link to the cropped shots that I have. Not sure which of the little guys is your grandson. I'm betting the one with 31 on his back,

Send me a pm and I'll send you the originals and the cropped shots.

Done and he is the one with 31 on his back (his father wore that number playing in the ammos).

Cheers & thanks.

Where do I send the banana?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
