Latest rumour is Cale wants to play with his brother Mitch at Sydney, consdering the Swans track record with these sorts of players I think it could be very well on the way after the Tippet deal is done. The mail is the swans are offering Brett Meredith a former Northern Knight boy with lovely kick. Also I might add the swans just delisted 5 players and Brett was not one of them. He also did not play all year, so I reccon the rumour could have some truth to it.

Thoughts??

Was coached by Paul Satterley at the Northern Knights, who rated him highly, and he played with Jack Grimes. He's a good long kick, but couldnt win the ball in the games hes played with the Swans

Oh no! Not Sydney. Judging by their track record he'll win a brownlow within two years.

We just got rid of one BM who could kick long and couldn't get the ball.

Here we go again

Sydney just won the grand final - we can't afford to let them have another Adam Goodes!

Meredith hasn't set the world on fire in the NEAFL folks. And there are injury concerns.

Will need a swap of picks in our favour to get this done.

While Cale has been disappointing, I thought he showed signs in a few games earlier in the year...Now, signs from this point in his career is not a pass mark, but I think that what he does offer is the run and spread which we struggle with...

If he's got the attitude to play for Neeld and play his style, I think he'll be an important player for us, but that is a big if...

don't know enough about Meridith, but I think Cale's upside still needs to be considered in any trade...

Meredith is a smooth moving, skillful half back flanker/wing who has understandably struggled to get a game behind Shaw, Mattner, Malceski and Smith.

He has been unlucky with injury such as doing his PCL last pre-season while out on the beer.

I think it would be a win win for both clubs as they are two talented players that have both stalled who could benefit from a change of scenery.

He just needs a bit of luck and to work a fraction harder off the field.

I actually did laugh out loud ( wife thinks I a worry )

Yes if Morton+ pick 75+pick 95 for Meredith & Swans pick 66, which we would ontrade elsewhere. OMG I have caught trade madness.

You realise there is no cure

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
