Who cares? Denham extracts the worst hand wringing on this site.

Those who persevere with such a low brow station like SEN deserve what they get.

Dominic Barry would have been no certainty to go in the top half of the draft

Agree. Its hard to pinpoint Barry possible positioning but he was surely no sure bet to be pick 13.

A joke, right? Cause otherwise you've just insulted about two thirds of 'land. Good work mod.....

Barry wasn't pick 13 FFS.

Pick 3 and pick 13 in exchange for Hogan, Barry and pick 20.

to fully represent the deal:

Pick 3 and pick 13 and pick 27 in exchange for Hogan, Barry, Viney and pick 20

and you can't really separate any individual aspect of it

Denham has a fair bit of history of making stories up.

Case in point, he wrote a lengthy article early last year during the pre-season that a player (from another melbourne based club) had suffered a serious knee reco and was unlikely to play again. Seeing the coach leave an early breakfast with us to absolutely blast Denham over the fabrication of the story was hilarious. It was pure gold to hear him destroy Denham. Even funnier was hearing him invite Denham to come and see the player play the following day in a practice match.

He also announced on Bartlett's show two years ago that North's Andrew Swallow was going as an uncontracted player to the Suns. And I quote, "Done deal".

Sounds like Matthew Lloyd, D-wayne et al on 3AW yesterday, got their material from the Denham remarks. Repeated the same sentiments, suggesting desperate measures by Neeld, trying a Michael Voss stunt of a couple of years ago, but without the "favourite son" security, Voss had at Brisbane.

Sounded like trying to work up a story, when there is nothing to actually talk about...

Difference with Neeld is he is trying to lift a young list to be competitive.

Voss was trying to lift an old list to a premiership.

The situation isn't even comparable except there is some trading of older players.

Interestingly when Voss did take that tack most commentators talked it up as being a typical courageous Voss type move that had a big chance of working.

It's funny now it didn't work people use it as an example of 'I told you so'. I bet Dwayne and Denham talked Vossy and his recruiting right up lol.

This is actually good. I would rather they stick some boots in now than get carried away saying its going to work. The team players and coaches included will know they need to work hard to earn respect rather than just expecting it all to happen.

Lets see these dees work hard and claw back respect inch by inch united as a team that has experience and capability to have an impact on the comp.

I still reckon Voss pulled a mind-games master-stroke when he declared MFC "the next footy super power."

He knew exactly what he was doing.

you might be quite correct that the thinking was as a result of some form of stroke !!

It is true nonetheless that Neeld needs to keep the Board onside.

I like what he seems to be doing, but a couple of these moves need to bring results in 2013

Sad old has been trying to create relevance for himself. He needs to go back to duct taping wires to floors, something he really excelled at.

Never heard the them referred to as "lock and load".Pom slang?

Pelican denham goes to press/air with rumours from forums.lazy unprofessional that he is.Have also noticed over the last week supporters

from other clubs questioning his vitriol towards MFC.He is transparent as a no substance imposter. If it wasn't for his 30 min troll sessions on SEN he'd be still licking stamps.

I have it on good authority that his stamp licking is on par with his duct taping,a truly talented individual is Pelican

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
