20 and Petterd is rumoured, im ok with it. Petterd stank this year

think id want a lower round pick upgrade if this is offered

I don't know how this became another Sylvia thread but I'll just quickly make the point the Mark Neeld specifically commented on how much improved Col's work rate was in the second half of the year. Considering Neelds philosophies I'm very happy to hear that.

Back on Dawes, if the pies manage to squeeze out anything more from Melbourne they will have done very well. I do wonder whether Dawes's manager coming out and saying pick 20 should get it done played our hand too soon, it didn't really leave us with any middle ground to go to. I think most would agree that 20 is about right (if not a little over from us), but because that could have been our "compromising" offer that has now become our first offer. Thing is he's worth more to us than he is to collingwood, and they know it.

Worst part is that the Pies might make us sweat for a while just to [censored] us off.

20 and Petterd might be overs, but lets not kid ourselves; we need some more starting 22 forwards. Clark aside the forward line has been a revolving door. Green & Jurrah are gone, and Howe spends time in the midfield.

I'm happy to get Dawes for pick 20 and petterd, but hope we havent offerd him the same coin as Clark

Do the deal

Ricky :(

Ricky :)

Ah, if only all the heated differences of opinion on this board could be handled like this.

Ricky ( insert unused emoticon !! )

Is this just a case of those smartarse Pies wanting to gloat that they got something more than pick 20..or do they rate him?

He was once quite good.. but then.....

Petterd + 20 for Chris Dawes CONFIRMED !!

Where are you hearing this from Steamin Demon?

Its not confirmed.. just rumours

Ricky to live La vida COLLoca ??

Petterd + 20 for Chris Dawes CONFIRMED !!

Please don't say the source was the Facebook trades page.

Having said that, I wouldn't be unhappy with this. Petterd hasn't shown much in a while.

If Petterd kicks the winning goal against us on QB, I will have to do something reckless.

So its official then,: it a genuine bonefide rumour !! Doesnt get better than that really does it ?

snap !! lol

on facebook now Trade Rumour: Chris Dawes to Melbourne. Pick 20 and Ricky Petterd to Collingwood.

Take that deal and run.

Would be highway robbery on our behalf.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
