Must be more to hsppen me thinks. Ain't over yet lol

Another sh*t trade. You can easily extract more value out of a 200+ agile big man, even if he isn't very good. Poor end to an average Trading period.

Oli, are you bitter that some of your predicted 14-Club trades didn't come to fruition, and in turn, wasted all that time you spent thinking up such deals?

Aye

Alright, here is the source: AFL Twitter - Melbourne involved in another trade. RT @AFL_petryan: Stefan Martin deal done. To Lions for picks 53 and 73.#AFLTrades

I'd say pick 53 for Ray should be enough. Might have to throw in a Bennell though.

Probably upgrade one/some of Evans, Magner, Couch, Nicholson.

Because they'll take us places! They'll all be delisted in 2 years time, if not now, and wouldn't get a game at any other AFL club.

Well, whatever this place is that Morton and Gysberts have taken us can't get much worse can it?

Always thought about 15 players would go. Looks like its happening.

Remember how BAD the team was in 2012 kids. And before that for 4-5 years.

MASSIVE CHANGES ARE HAPPENING....NOW.

The only way I can reconcile this trade is if it leads us to trading picks 49, 53, 70, 73, 74, 88, Bennell, Petterd and Bate to GWS for Pick 1.

I can only assume that we are going to either trade some picks out or use 4, 49, 53, 63, and 73.

I am amazed at that.

Simply amazed.

Correct. 30 wins against 120 losses. Something had to give. Big time.

And it's much better planned than in recent years. In fact, the thing which

pleases me most is that their IS a plan.

I like the way we've aggressively tackled our objectives.

There is a seriousness about the new ways. to get things done.

Magner is making a difference simply due to training harder than Morton and Gysberts, he is leading the way and is worth alot of $$$ imo simply to put pressure on and set teh standards which have been so lax at our club during the modern era

Viney and Wines for Gysberts and Morton = Melbourne win

I saw no need for Martin, but 53 and 73.... wtf are we going to do with that?

Viva la re-build anyway, I'm all for it!

Could we be that lucky?

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses.
