Went to school with him and he played soccer until about year 9 or 10 so to get where he did in a couple of years is great and hopefully means he has a lot of improvement left in him. If it doesn't take a lot grab him.

I just read his profile, seems a good strong tall forward. We already have one Old Lion in our forward might as well get another one.

At lest they will know each other.

Don't know much about him and even if he is available.

Stats 191 cms 20 yo. 18 games 5 this year. 24 goals. 1.3 goals per game.

Many on here knock Dunn, but when played forward he would match the goals. He is 192cms for what it is worth. Lynden has kicked 87 goals in his 99 games with many of them as a tagger or in the backline. His average when played forward is higher again for what it is worth.

Sorry for throwing Lynden into this thread, I was just doing the comparison.

I saw him play the NEAFL grand final up here last week against the NT Thunder. He was very good. Lions mainly used him up forward but he's developing the tank to play more on ball and that's where he may be best in the future. It'd be a yes from me. What's his contract status?

Patrick Karnezis is still only 20 years old so any comparison to Dunn is a bit unfair. Brisbane have rated him highly although he had an ordinary year this year. Brisbane would want our compo pick which I would prefer a pure mid and our 2nd rounder hopefully tied up in securing Viney, so it may be a little difficult to do.

Good player, but not really what we desperately need. Another third tall forward type.

That's how he has traditionally been viewed but Brisbane were grooming him as an on-baller and he was starting to impress some people as tall, strong marking midfielder who has a few tricks.

Just another "tweener" then.

No thanks.

Petterd, Dunn, Bate, Jurrah - We know a fair bit about these guys. I agree with Goodvibes. Karnezis is worth at least consideration and Clark, Rawlings would have a better idea of his game.

Yes, please. If Liam is gone to Port. Would be a good target for us.

I don't know much about him, but surely if we wanted to get him Clark and Rawlings would be a big help.

I can't stop imagining him growing an horrendous moustache... just like Lynden Dunn.

Could Karnezis play a role in the Martin trade in any way? Possibly to on-trade so that we keep a pick? Was said to be a bit of interest in him by a few teams and is apparently desperate to return to Victoria. Could see us accept Brisbanes later pick if he was included perhaps. I quite like him as a developing mid.

Think the deal is likely to be Martin for 33 so that we can on trade 33 for Pederson and North can then use that pick as part of the Ben Jacobs deal with Port.

If we were to get 33 for Martin I'd be happy to hold that pick for the draft. I would have thought it'd be overs for Martin and Pederson. Perhaps it's more likely to be offered their following pick and Karnezis thrown in. The following pick could then be used to trade on and we could keep or trade Karnezis to a pre-agreed club. Just a thought, but would love to score 33 for Martin.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
