Seriously JR what is your time frame.

All bs aside I struggle with it being before the end of this decade

Okay, no bs.

Finish 8th - 10th next year, a bit better in 2014, if Neeld and the team stay together, the BOARD stays united, EVERY player single mindedly commits, I'm hoping 2015, 2016.

Players will be in their prime and anything can happen.

I'm with you JR. I think 2016 is more realistic but I'll take 2015 if it comes around.

Neeld is a massive mistake...... perhaps the biggest since sacking Norm Smith.

No doubt GNF we have watched the same games, watched the same Neeld interviews and yet have so completely different views of the man.

I think Neeld is the best signing since Norm Smith

I want to win as we can see playing for daraft picks is not the best way to build a good side look at north they have a better list and sydney both teams did not bottom out building a winning culture, u can play for draft picks and never became a good team

There's no doubt that you need a strong leadership group, which will drive good culture, plus you need talented players. If you get your draft picks right you're well on the way to building a good list. A good list will put you in the game.

What do the following players have in common ? Hodge, Riewoldt, Judd, Pendlebury, Murphy, Cotchin, Franklin, Griffen, Goddard, Wells, Pavlich, Roughead, Thomas - they're all top 5 picks. And if you want to extend that to first round draft picks you get players such as our own Mitch Clark, Jones, Grimes, plus Rioli, Sidebottom, Bartel, Selwood, Hayes, Birchall, Jack Riewoldt, Atley and the list goes on and on. Or you could have Morton, Molan, Cook, Bate, Dunn, ...

Get the picks right ...

I'm done wih worrying about our position with picks, we get the picks where we're placed. Would be a great way to send off Brad with a win. Might even chuck a lazy $10 TAB donation on us for the win.

Don't stress too much fellas,

Even if by some miracle we end up winning one of the last games (not that i don't think we are a sneaky chance against the Crows) but lets be serious we are playing 2 potential finals bound teams who won't want to lose to us

GC are interested in Viney - he is highly rated. I have heard GC will nominate Viney and would be happy to pick him up at 2.... MFC are playing hardball but they won't let him walk to GC...

I am more then happy to be proven wrong though!!! would love 3 cracks at the pool in our first round

we are more than likely going to have to use our first pick on Viney and really l won't be worried about that.

Pretty confident we won't win either game on our current form, no problems with the lads hav'n a red hot go at winning either, and would be rapted in a win. I'm hoping the boys won't to show the coach something for their own safety on the list, surely ya would won't to be in his best 22 at the least. Afta the crap we've dished up (on field), had put on us (media), and the loss of JS this year, two good TEAM efforts now would b great too end the year and go forward with confidence 4 ALL Melbourne people. WINNING CULTURE is the best medicine. GO DEES.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
