A potential for pick 4 (though Toumpas a definite and Wines & Mayes may be ahead)

A certainty if he is available and we still have pick 13.

Think a better version of Brent Harvey.

I also like the look of Kennedy who is doing well playing with the Glenelg senior team in the SANFL. The ABC replays the SANFL and WAFL games from the previous week late on Wednesday and Thursday nights and Glenelg has featured a couple of times recently. The comparison with Boomer Harvey has a lot to do with their lack of height and, while he also has some other of Boomer's attributes, he's still a long way off that and is no #4 draft pick. At 13 however, I wouldn't hesitate notwithstanding that we should be drafting another small in Jack Viney.

I agree Ben. Nearly the silliest quote i have ever read on a footy forum. Brent Harvey is a true Champion, we would have to go back a long time to name a Melb player who has had a similar impact and we're touting a bloke who won't even get picked in the first half dozen in a highly compromised Draft as a better player. Fair dinkum unbelievable.

Harvey will come very close to 400 games.

At this stage Kennedy would be hoping to play a quarter of that, maybe even an eighth.

Unless we trade it for Boak or Caddy, hoping he slides to that ~13 pick and we draft him. He could be as good as Boomer or Crawford, who started off as a small forward before becoming jet midfielders.

Don't worry about height I would love a Marc Murphy, Brent Harvey, Sam Mitchell type who are clearance specialists with their lack of height being a KEY factor.

A lot of love for this guy and Iike the sound of him...but if he's that good he might be done by our pick.

If Viney is worth a 3, then Kennedy aint getting 5, let alone 11-13.

I personally rate Jack Viney as pick 6 and Kennedy at 14.

The more I read the more I like...leaning more and more towards thinking toumpas 3 kennedy 4 and seeing whether mayes/stringer/irra is still available

Personally i would rather kennedy than mayes...

Mayes gets touted as a potential #4 so i extrapolted from there

would love to get kennedy at 13 but i'm not sure we can afford to miss out on a 21st century 'bluey' adams

It ridiculous how many people here seem to make comments on players they haven't seen and pass judgement purely on their body type.

Ridiculous the amount of people here who seem to comment on players thinking that body type isn't a factor in a teams make up purely on the way they play.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week.
