But nothing in there most of us havent stated in the past.

Its all well and good, pointing out opinions on players, our problem is developing the talent on our list.

We have a knack of under-achieving talented players not being able to go to another level.

Thats the real issue. You wont convice me, that every top draft pick we have or had in the past isnt up for it.

There have been too many in the past and now, that stagnate.

Some WILL fail, for whatever reason, thats a given, but most of ours, tread water.

Fitness levels, attitude, and coaching staff are accountable, Some very ordinary players have become great players

Our hit rate is woeful, you cant keep cutting or naming 1/2 the list as spuds every season.

Neeld and Co will know, what it is required. And will make changes accordingly.

Leave player assessments to them. If they fail, so does the team,and club as a whole.

I personally think we are in good hands, and they will make the tough calls at seasons end

Then we will have another uproar, why this one stayed and this one went.

So of all the list you can come up with a couple of positives. I agree if the topic is about weaknesses but not asan assessment. I. Think it might bedtime to support a new club if that is the best assessment you can do.ifnot for anything else but for your sanity. The list will not change much in the next 12 months.

Its a harsh reality. Did i say delist all them players um no. with the right coaching these things can be worked on.

I certainly wish we could draft 35 new players! We need to as we are quite possibly the worst team to play since the Melbourne side coached by Denis Jones or Fitzroy in its dying days. Naturally, I'm excluding the 2 recent start-up clubs.

The only thing giving most of us any hope is the 2 Tom Scully concession picks. FCS imagine how bleak things would be if we still had Tom Scully and not those 2 Picks. I could never have imagined that with so many early Draft Picks a side could be so poorly skilled.

Things will change very quickly but we're building from the ground up.

3 top picks, Jack Viney, a fit Clark, Jurrah, Gysberts, Blease, Howe, Couch, Jones, McKenzie, Tommy Mc and things are looking up.

james sellar does want to be an AFL player. he is forever greatful to be given a second chance at an afl list.

Add 2 quality 23 year old midfielders, put 20 more games into our current list and get Clark, Watts, Jones, Jamar, Sylvia, Frawley, Howe and Jurrah in our team playing together for a full season and a lot of these fringe players look a lot better because their not expected to carry as much weight.

Better run with injuries and good experienced drafting and we will be much more competitive.

Interesting observations. Troy Davis has a good frame for a young bloke but once again his kicking has been questionable which annoys me only because im surprised we would go for more players with questionable accuracy.

I cant work out why yesterday Jordan Gysberts looked as skinny as he did at the start of the 2010 season at Casey.

Jurrah will unfortunately be in jail soon. I think Green can play on for specific roles and did well yesterday to provide a contest and to kick a few.

Stef martin is quite an accurate kick - he kicks more set shots than many of our forwards (Bail struggles, etc), but consistency has been a probem for Stef but it was great to see him stamp his place in the side yesterday with some of the form and composure we saw in the previous season.

In all honesty when you look at the side this year you see a lot of question marks - do we show more faith in players that have traded on potential for a long time and never lifted their game to the next level or more tellingly improved the parts of their game that are lacking? In terms of required players Id say it could be as few as Rivers, Frawley, Tom McDonald, Watts, Jamar, Jones, Sylvia, Clark, Grimes, Trenners and Howe off the trade / delist table ignoring contract position (davey has another year, etc).

How do you know that? I have this sinking feeling sometimes that next pre season Ill be watching the same dead wood wondering why players that couldnt make it on other lists get fourth chances at the dees...
