I think you will find that if they show the right intent and particularly defensive indicators at Casey then you will see them. If they dont then they should stay where they are. We have heard players talk before about being given games before their form at VFL warrants it. Let them get the form right and intent right and then by all means play them.

Promote Couch and maybe Green if he still has enough left in the tank.

Our team cant get any worse i hope.

But I don't think any of the reasons you mention are the reasons that Neeld would use as justification for selecting him in the seniors.

He'd be thinking "is he ready, will he fit the team structure, can he last the full match (fitness wise), is there an adequate role for him, is this the right time for his next step, will he give impact, etc".

If the answer to these (and more, but I can't think of them ATM) is yes, then perhaps.

I'm sure Neeld will leave emotion out of the selection.

His form has been very good for a number of weeks and although he didn't get a goal today his gut running, lead-up marking, and kicking inside 50 was of a high standard in a high standard game of footy. Considering our forward 50 currently, Cook is a natural forward needs to get some time to show it.

Hi, I haven't seen him play for weeks as I have been working with the Under18's.Has he got the motor to play CHF?.And if not would you play him at Full Forward.? Please advise.

Sounds like we're waiting for the planets to allign for Cook's debut. Surely we couldn't be a worser team for it. Even if we are- what's the difference between a 30 point loss and a 50 point loss. I'd rather 60+ point losses whilst getting games into kids than 30 point losses with players who are either past it, or never had it.

Stuff this trying to play the most "competitive" team, give games to the kiddies and give them to them NOW!

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
