Hellooooooo MM

Hey,,, Hellooooooo MM,,, What? And Hello Cloke with him as well I suppose??? As if Carlton need a Key Tall Forward!!!

Next you'll be saying They want Sylvia & Steph Martin as well !!!

They know we're coming...

We'll accept a prelim, nothing less.

Wonder what pearler they'll offer up next year.

LMFAO...

What about their other #1 draft pick, Bryce Gibbs, he hardly seems to be living upto the tag of a #1 pick right now either..

I think we overcooked the roast.Pathetic bunch of tossers, maybe a salad theme.

I thought he was one of their best tonight.

Carlton are never going to win a flag with their current list. Seriously. They kick to Gartlett and Betts like they're gorillas, they don't have the ability to shut down a pacey forward like Breust and get monstered when forced to work for their own footy rather than being given time and space.

Said it four years ago and my Carlton-supporting mates laughed at me.

What was the final score? My hotel doesn't have australia network...Grrr

Blues 10.10. 70

Hawks 18.12. 120

But Carlton were already down by 50 at 3QT.

Carlton remind me of us last season, so much promise then everything went downhill.

I happen to think Bryce Gibbs is rubbish too.

Between 4 number 1 picks:

Watts, Scully, Kruezer, Gibbs

The MFC and Carlton haven't exactly unearthed any superstars.

Not that I want to turn this into another tanking debate thread, but the Blues were the first of the modern day teams to truly tank (St Kilda rebuilt with high draft picks, but I wouldn't say they tanked) and look where it has gotten them. Add on the fact that they got Judd with the Visy deal and it really makes you wonder.

I hate us being classified as the biggest tankers, Calrton mastered it. That's why I get so much pleasure out of where they're at.

If Ratten loses next week vs the Pies he will be sacked mid week.

Sticks said "we have to get behind the coach and the players" - sure sign Rats is gorn

I wonder how much Brock Mclean going public with his disease has affected the players. It must be hard to concentrate on footy with Brock coming out about his condition. Hope you get well Brock. Fight the good fight.

My gripe is how the commentators are putting it all down to the injury toll at Carlton. Earlier in the year when they were bagging us, our injuries which included just about anyone whose ever kicked a goal for us were ignored.

Micky Mouse says hello !!!

I happen to think Bryce Gibbs is rubbish too.

Dont underestimate Jack Watts, he will go down a champion.

Is he hooking up with Gary ablett?

Yeah it seems the media and supporters expect number one draft picks to become superstars but it seems that despite those chances being increased it just means you are going to get a 200 game player. All four ofthose picks were clear number 1s in there draft year

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
