He is holding off from signing a new contract with GWS. This is the player to target next season. i watch him and cant help but think he is going to be the league's best player in a few years. Do you think GWS could hold on to him if a Vic club offered him $500-600k a year contract? I dont think so

Unless we want to give up a viney, watts or a frawley then there is no point suggesting this.

Cameron is going to be a superstar of the competition, not just his club. Superstars are usually (not always) of high integrity and rarely leave their club. If they do leave they almost always leave a profound legacy at their incumbent club. Nathan Buckley is an exception, but he at least made it clear when he was drafted he'd only be staying for 12 months and the Bears took the risk.

I highly doubt Cameron will go anywhere. His type don't leave. That said, I rate him better than any young player on our list. Easily.

How about package of Bate, Dunn, Bennell, Morton and a late second round pick.

Enough to get a deal done?

Serious.

Cameron is built like Watts yet already does everything Watts should have been doing.

It would never happen, but I'd do it in a heart beat.

Will be a star forward.

Watts will be a good utility.

He was good, but I think I might wait until he has played against a few decent teams/defences... Nought Melbourne are hardly setting the world on fire.

You should wait until you've watched GWS not Gold Coast, as Cameron plays for GWS.

A 10 game player who has performed well without setting the world on fire has become of interest for no real reason and Melbourne supporters want to uproot the base of the club to get him. I'd rather Watts, who will be an outstanding footballer and I'll put my faith in Neeld and co to develop Lucas Cook into a great second foil for Mitch Clark.

Generous tonight then

I've always lived under the mantra that people earn respect, but I've decided that every human being should implicitly have that right unless they revoke it through their actions. It's a bit of a break through, so patience may be required.

So no, it's not "generosity".

What the hell was that ?

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
