This week im looking for a consistant performace, in all honesty I dont see us winning but I want us to make a good fist of it.

Only in for me is Martin

Seller can get out and stay out

ps I think we are still on the right track, saw Mark Neeld in the flesh last night at AAMI park and he is the scariest looking man ive ever seen, if he yelled at me I think id pee my pants

The FD must see something we don't see Jonesbag

He is the second worst on our list in my view.

Why does he constantly get games

This is the only week that it will be difficult to make a change, it isn't hard to find players to drop, the hard part is finding players to bring in. We will have 2 forced changes

Out Green and Frawley

In Sylvia and Davis

I would love to add Moloney, Garland, Sellar, Bennell to the list of outs but we don't have the replacements. Sylvia is lucky but I still believe we need to add him to our midfield, to have any chance of winning this week Sylvia needs to play midfield and dominate. We line up

Bennell McDonald Rivers

Nicho Garland Grimes

Bail Sylvia Blease

Howe Watts Tapscott

Dunn Clark Sellar

Moloney Jones Mckenzie

Magner Moloney Trengove Davis

Gives us a physical presence up forward, CAN roost from outside 50 although did not do so this week, and CAN and did win contests at ground level.

I was asking not what he can do, but what he did, and what he did was attempt ridiculous bananas from the pocket that hurt the team, ignored players in better positions, got into a slanging match with Mitch Robinson, tried stunning kcicks off the ground and in mid air instead of picking up the footy and not much else.

I find that he has done a great deal of this for most of his career, and despite what he can do, what he does do will determine whether he plays this week and stays in the AFL at the end of the year.

I assume we are talking about seller? He looks like he gives in a crack but his time is up.

Time for martin to get in and give him a fair crack

Maybe it's because he follows instructions OD, perhaps some of the others don't know how to.

He takes a bit of the pressure off Mitch Clark because they need to put a tall defender on him and I'd rather have Sellar change in the ruck than Clark.

RobbieF If his instruction is to get very low stats eg 2 kicks, 5 handballs and 3 marks for no scores against Carlton.

Then I have serious problems with the instructions

He has next to no impact in games, he is very similar to Bennell.

Adelaide cut him and we are seeing the reasons why IMO.

IMO DemonWA they are both loved by the FD for reasons that are far from apparent to me.

Not sure why players who average half a dozen posessions a game and have no impact on the result keep getting picked every week.

Can you please explain ?

No i cant, but i'd expect that they both 'train the house down' and follow instructions/play a specific role for the coaches. Not saying that it means they are valuable contributors or that i think they deserve to be picked so regularly, but the coaches must have a reason for playing them?

Here's one:

Jamie's performances had been steadily declining over the years but this year has been much poorer.

Of course he was subbed-off after 3, subbed-on after 3 and subbed-on after 1.

His averages are far from impressive irrespective of what his instructions might be.

I know I go on about him DemonWA

This year I have watch him closely at the games I have been to and I have no idea what the FD is telling him to do.

I have wondered some days if he knows either, just seems lost.

He is of course an outside player and at present that means there is no one to give him the ball.

He might well be a genius at Essendon.

When did Martin last play at any level? Is he recovered and ready?

Fair point, although I would put him in as at least the sub, I no it might seem im hating on seller but I havent seen him impact a game all year. Too many chances and time to go. Maybe if martin doesnt get up then we can bring back sylvia? Either way it looks to be slim pickings

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
