Surely our best quarters and half for the season.

Now I would be surprised were they to keep it up all night, but well done so far.

McKenzie and Magner are doing well.

And Jonesy is a legend!!

Layed a ripper tackle on Goddard which I'm sure all the haters missed.

Yep! True. He is in amonst the packs working hard. He is also losing his man in the packs and spreading. He is not our best but he is playing his role well

Magner has some weird thing with his ankle where a minor knock can really sting. Hopefully it's nothing more than that.

Stuie, you see what you want to see. this team needs diversity. If we had all inside types we would be useless. Morton is not a Lenny Hayes type. As long as he can neurtralise the inside stuff and continue to run, spread and dispose, he will be a very good player. I see Morton developing under Neeld and the other coaches

Lol diversity huh... I don't think any player should be given license to not be involved in physical stuff for the sake of "diversity"... Look, I didn't say he had been bad tonight, but when he needs to provide some kind of physicality he's just not up to it.. And after all, it is footy

I have a feeling the Saints are just going to run away with it. 10 points up now, but they're way fitter and stronger than us. We won't be able to keep up the effort for 4 quarters, I don't think. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Looked more than a minor knock, got his leg caught under another player during a 3 man tackle situation

I saw it. It certainly doesn't look too good.

Another Morton tackle causes a turnover in the Dees favour.

Ahhhh you mean when he was trying to find his way around to the fron of McElvoy and then he got a kick away?

Turns

Looked more than a minor knock, got his leg caught under another player during a 3 man tackle situation

Turns out its a knee, not an ankle.

The Rivers deliberate was a disgrace - what could ANYONE do there. The umpires don't have a clue - wet night, wet ball!!! WTF

I mean where he applied physical pressure to his opponent and caused an ineffective disposal.

Disagree, Pretty obvious one.

And going relatively unnoticed by all of us here... Bartram is having a very good game.

Lol.. An ineffective disposal in these conditions, who would have thought? Reckon the rain would bother him more than a Morton tackle

And I will reiterate - Tom Mc IS doing a good job, and what a learning experience running with Reiwoldt all night - regardless of ultimate outcome.

Now Garland has gone off with a possible ankle injury

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
