I agree with most of you on this..Attention seeker who wants a gig somewhere to motor the mouth..

I never liked or hated Aker....I am however considering burning his book when I get home..

Calling you a gutterdog would disrespect dogs Aker...you are beneath it all after this one.

You may have just ended your media career all because you are both Ignorant and a loudmouth...

You can sook all you like regarding speaking your mind....NOBODY CARES MATE...

Care Factor ZERO!

Shut up & pack your bags & leave Melbourne.

Maybe you just havent had a good life mate...family...successfull footballer....Great $$$$......must make you angry..

A1 moron Akermanis.

As you should be, but this is a man who likes a camera or a microphone in front of him.

He will say things just for a rise.

I wouldn't bother giving it to him.

I am more concerned with this:

"As long as they know ... this is not Melbourne where you can just walk in and steal the players. If you do this at Collingwood, good luck."

Gotta agree . Maquires arrogance riles me like no other.

Even yesterday he wrote how he and Stynes would talk about building up the QB clash.

This after numerous backhanders of late in the media with several threats to get the QB game taken off us.

Would love Mclardy to step up and rip some shreds off him.

Point out a few home truths that Maquire turns a hypocritical blind eye too.

Ox just ruined Akers future career

Sure did. Doesn't matter how many times he says sorry - what Aker said (whether it was what he really thought or not) was wrong. Loving some of the calls coming in. They've just declared no more air time on the topic, which gives us half of our wish.

This is a stunt, make it backfire.

Just a blatant attempt to keep himself relevant. Stopped giving a toss about what he thought ages ago - I used to think he called it as he saw it, but came to realise he just called it whatever way would create the best headline.

Edit: Looks like RobbieF beat me to the punch to say exactly the same thing. Completely agree Robbie.

Hmmn, Breadz & Buttered, comes to Mind...

I'll give you something to get yourself confused over 'Acker', Cheap, cheap, cheap!

A little Birdy told me the meaning of it. Look it Up, when your mouths asleep, sometime...

If you go to this link , ignore the article and scroll below it , there is an absolutely magnificent "Jim Stynes . Life in pictures " to scroll through .

It would be great to some how link it here on Demonland --on a different thread , of course . [ way beyond my abilities , I'm afraid ] .

SEN is telling me they haven't received enough messages to can the Aker interview!!! C'mon let's do this!!!

I'll tell you what, IF you want to do something to get Acker off the SEn & radio stations,,,, Turn them OFF.

Refuse to listen to their station, as long as he's on the Airwaves. It's really that simple.

Out of interest how did Ox respond. Had my radio off during the interview

He was very calm and blatant about how he felt about the comments, and basically told Aker that what he said has virtually ended his career. No voice raising, no bull. Just said it like it was. I actually found the whole thing quite eerie.

Aker went on to make excuses, saying that he missed his mum and how, at that time in the morning (that the comments were said) he has a daughter asking him for food, and he has to get her ready for creche etc etc etc. These excuses were met with no sympathy, and they just ended the call, took some comments, and then declared the subject done and dusted (on air, at least).

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
