Seems that either Eddie would have contacted Bruce Hearn Mackinnon, or Bruce contacted Eddie, in order to arrange the interview. But who contacted who first?

If it was Eddie who contacted Bruce (as I suspect), then he's gone against protocols, has manipulated the situation and it's clearly poor form from a fellow Club President who should know better.

If it was Bruce, then I imagine he would now know he has made an error or judgment in allowing and inviting it to happen.

I'm pretty sure Eddie has said a few times the Bruce contacted him.

My theory is that Bruce is not happy with Melbourne and thinks that the best thing for Liam is to get him to Collingwood.

As others have said, a long bow to draw when you'd think their priority would be keeping Jurrah out of jail, not getting him to a new club.

With regard to Liam moving to Collingwood I think we are all overlooking one point here. Despite being shy and quiet when he meets new people, Liam is very close to Aaron and the other boys and genuinely is thankful that MFC gave him another opportunity after Collingwood put him in the too hard basket. We should not believe that he is some puppet of BHM who is conniving to have him back at Collingwood (albeit he maybe with some little prodding form Eddie). Liam is a strong person with definite views on his life. Don't underestimate his own intelligence. I dont believe we should be so condescending.

Now that Cameron has confirmed that the Club did not know about the interview almost as it went to air, I think the fireworks will now really start. For Eddie to be virtually called a liar we will now see Eddie come out swinging. Let's see what other outrageous statements he will make. How long will it be before AFL reins him in. Fat chance.

I don't think the fireworks will start. It's not worth exploding over.

Lets put is succintly...... Eddie talks a lot of sh!t when it comes to fidelity. He himslef seems to get alwfullyconfused as to what hat hes wearing but then it really doiesnt mater cos hes alwats Eddie. He is when all comes down to brass tacks a journalistic hyhena. He has done many good things both for the Filth and footy in general. Thats the good Eddie. the bad Eddie just cant ignore the smell of blood.. What irks me ( and many others ) is his self rightessnessand duplicity of standards. he seems totally oblivious to his own hyprocrisy

Had he been born 2050 years ago Im sure hed not onlyhave run withthe Romans but interviewed JC on the day and sold the story to the Juruselam Times. !!!

The irony of much is he is oft quoted as suggestiing some pull their heads in or have a good hard look at themsleves when really its he who ought to.

The man has no scruples.

I found this interview with Rudeboy very enlightening.

You know hwta, as enlightening, or reinforcing of known facets as it might be it does nothing and goes nowhere to explaiining the , for mine, bizarre tact taken by Jurrah and Mckinnon upon returning. . There was obviously a duty to self but there was also a very large duty to the MFC which seems to have gone by the board.

This was a exercise in Spin. Eddie everywhere saw an inside run and took it with glee. This smacks of self serving history rewriting to me.

Im disappointed on many fronts.

No one made him have a beer after all.

Rudeboys colours have lowered bythis affair in my view.. Jurrah is very much the man belwteen a rock and a hard place , but we are all the keepers of our deeds. thats life

Is there any way a mod can change "tonight" in the title to whatever date it was?

He's a great advocate for Liam.

But Liam needs a legal advocate.

And he needs to let Cam Schwab do his job and not try to do what's best for Liam.

Because in no reality is "what's best" - an interview with Eddie McGuire before a court date on a dumbed down manslaughter charge.

ffs, bub. There's typos, and then there's blatant having no pride in your own posts whatsoever. Can't you just proof read your posts a little bit?

I don't think the fireworks will start. It's not worth exploding over.

Or stooping to McGuires level.

The crap slinging he is famous for is not something we would bother to engage in. It would fly in the face of the high integrity aspect of the red and blue print.

Integrity - something Edward struggles to grasp the concept of.
