Wow nothing in the locker room bout me favourite Ranga.

Anybody with the latest on when he can play?Has he gained any weight?

And I will be keen to c what role he'll play, position, I can't c many roles 4 him other than in the engine room or tagging IN the engine room, I think he'd get lost to easily away from the action, AND I hope he's instructed to kick more often………will he struggle to make our best 22???? Heart & Soul Player. will never be through lack of trying I reckon.

He's injured Flemo.

Achilles problem at least another 4 weeks.

Is it me or am I the only one who thinks that this kid is heavily over-rated.

Sure he does something that alot of players dont do and thats lay alot of tackles, but besides that what does he do? As a mid-fielder in the AFL he needs to rack up and dominate with posessions alot more then what he does now to ever be even close to a premiership player.

His performance is never in the lime light but I have always found him to simply not be good enough to become a premiership player yet he keeps getting games. What are your thoughts on him?

He really needs to improve the attacking side of his game. Out of all the youngsters I think that this fella has the most improvement to do.

............

He certainly doesn't seem to "impact" a game in an obvious way.

But clubs see something in him: it was Adelaide who was keen to get him a coupla years ago; story was he stayed with us because we rookied him and gave him a chance. Loyalty.

He certainly isn't a star, but he plays with an intensity that until players like Morton, Blease, Strauss, Taggart etc start to play with he'll continue to get games.

But harsh on Taggart I know being in his first year, but I was just looking for midfielders names from outside our best 22.

No Olisik, you more than likely aren't the only one who thinks that way, I certainly don't overate him myself although I luv the blokes desire, pure and simple, if 22 team mates tried as hard it wouldn't b as painful to watch our bunch of weaklings.

His disposal is sometimes criticised, but as you point out if the rest of the team showed his endeavour and never-say-die attitude we would get a lot further, even with our current physically under-developed list.

Too many show ponies - not enough hard workers like Jordie.

Jordie would benefit moving in with Cameron Ling for 12 months and watching his every move. Lingy was far from the quickest bloke around, his disposal was barely average, but by jingos he was a bloody good, honest footballer. That's where I see Jordie being a very valuable player for us, and well within his ability to achieve that type of role to the standard that Ling did.

IMO, needs to handball more. From his kicking this year, it's obvious he's got the same deficiencies as Moloney and Bate: Just whack it on the boot and pray.

What an outstanding job he did last night, and how angry did he make Goddard?

Well done - not just the in and under clearance player, also a top rate annoying tagger.

Scrap, scrag, pressure, tackle, annoy, spoil, niggle off the ball, shepard/block (for a player in a better position to clear or find space from his opponent ), in and under when needed, quick kick forward to advantage when the opportunity arises etc. 2nd efforts after initial disposal/contest. Occasional 3rd efforts! Willing himself into the contest!!

A great example of what's needed but has been missing amongst too many within the team for too long until this week, and parts of last week.

Whatever it takes! That's Jordie for ya

Well done mate. Keep it goin!

I think that this guy is ready to take it to a new level, he barely did any pre-season and look at his performance on the weekend.

All this guy needs now is a real good attacking edge. don't get me wrong, he did an awesome job on Goddard, but imagine he ran off him and booted a goal or 2 on the guy. Would've really rubbed salt into the wound, and i think his capable of that to.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
