Some interesting 28's too..fond memories of Terry Gleeson in the ruck in the good years when I was a kid...and Derek Feldmann in the not so good years in the back pocket in the mid/late 60's?

And the Number 11's.

'Demonwiki' has missed adding dual B&F winner Laurie Mithen to its Number 11 list. If Clark can be as good as Jimmy or Laurie I'll be a happy man.

When will the numbers be announced???? Every year we seem to be the last to find out.

Numbers just released on club web site What do others think???

Posted

all seem fair enough i guess. Still think its dissapointing that Evans is no longer wearing 50!

What do you reckon they'll give Viney? 1, 23 or 31 seem to be the likley ones in my eyes

Posted

23 for sure After Jnr Mac

Posted

[censored] i hope so. 23 is my birthdate and has subsequently always been my favourite number. Get to put it on my jumper for 2 reasons!

I don't want us to compare JV to HWFUA so I would go for 23.

We are going to compare them, aren't we?

We are such douchebags...

i was hoping for 31, so that i can wear my 2010 jumper without the memory of jabba the hut's son.

Well I only hope that Clark treats Big Jims number with the respect that it deserves. Good to see Jimma there to hand it on. Hopefully Mitch can take that number and make it his own.

I love how the camera angle hides the fact we don't have a second sponsor yet. Hopefully it'll be soon!

I would love to know what contorted position you think Mitch could be in that would allow the '11' to be seen on his back (because that is the story) and also the vacant left-side of his chest...

I do remember Denis Clark in his early years had number 38( I think) before it changed.Think he played either as a forward pocket/rover and wing before making the back pocket his own..does this square with others memories? I remember Kelvin Clarke impressing in his first game(s) with a couple of smart goals before a bad knee injury. We both must go back a fair way! Some good memories of back then! :)

Denis Clark played mainly in the centre. He didn't play in the back pocket. Our captain played there. Kelvin Clarke was too small and too light.

If Clark can play in as many Premierships as Laurie I am sure we would all be happy - well, maybe not Bluey from Demonology.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
