The truth of the matter is this should be in one of the other Bailey threads.

Maybe it should be in the Bailey Thread then again maybe the Todd Viney thread or then again the Football department thread or even Better yet the Players Thread or maybe it should be in another thread describing the thought process at the MFC

Really does it matter all that much???

I blame the umpire.

In fairness, the margin should have been five points less. Colin Garland touched the footy as it went through the sticks - I think the margin was about 150 at that stage.

Could've been a turning point. After all, momentum's everything in the modern game.

We put in 5 million dollars, plus our millions of dollars every year through membership.

They've had four years to put a game plan into place.

James Hird managed it in 5 months.

Get stuffed MFC coaches, you are all shite. We don't even have a director of coaching, no surprises there.

There comes a time when people need to be seen to stand up and take charge, the Real Leaders from within a footy Club or any organization in disarray.

Jimmy is doing a great job of reuniting the place but for some reasons late last year, after some Big inroads on the list & financial debit sheets, it seems some have taken things their own direction.

These times when they come to a Head, give an opportunity to cleanse and start the next chapter. This needs to be done through someone's strength drive and passionate leadership.

To take the advice of a few great men >

< make it happen!!!

These turning points in Clubs histories have occurred before and now it's arrived @ our doorstep. (see the following)

This post is one of the reasons why I have kept my powder dry since Saturday, I am as devastated and disappointed as everybody else, but drivel like this disgusts me even more

If you are going to post try and at least make it something intelligent

I was looking forward, in a manner, to Redlegs account of the previous debacle and the ensuing aftermath. Would be very interesting. I remember the day ( like you could forget it)

Hopefully if he has the time :)

It will be forthcoming but not as part of the report from the game. Circumstances overtook us and it's now an issue of getting the time to sit down and go through that game. I better remember its aftermath the following week when we beat Essendon and Piggy Walters booted nine.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
