Aha, I knew I should read books instead of comics.

Argh yes Red, the joy and inspiration of reading.

I often wonder where I would be without the wise counsel provided by the Marquis.

Prodee is MIA as well. However, Uncle Bitter is back from his 50 lashes and 14 day solitary confinement.

I must say Moon that my time in rehab was less arduous than usual. I believe the staff were still soiled and attempting to recover from attending to Biffen during his recent stay. There was ,however, much wailing and cries of despair from a highly secure corner of that sad establishment.

Discreet enquiries suggest that a certain Doctor, well known in these parts, was refining his electroconvulsive therapies on some poor wretch's  soul. One can only speculate that the answer to Deeluded's mysterious disappearance may lie within that evil laboratory.

Bent but Optimistic, you can avoid reading altogether by dipping into the Kama Sutra if you are looking for imaginative poses and still find comfort in knowing that you are looking at a classic piece of Hindu literature that preaches pleasure and spirituality. You seem to have a lot of the former but need a dose of the latter. Or in other words, you have Kama (Desire) but desperately need Moksha (Liberation), Your days are running out.

Good heavens (or should that be good nirvanas) Ernie! I cast off the restraints of the Kama Sutra years ago.

I have much improved restraints nowadays.

Literary reference: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

Here's hoping that this season is more like The Voyage of the Dawn Treader ?

That would be most unfortunate for D-L.

Though I must say, in his absence I have enjoyed not having my screen display run out of RED and Blue ink for a while.

How about The day of the Knee Trembler ?

That is better than The Day of the Triffids I guess ...

But back to CS Lewis, who fell just 10 months short of being on this earth for all 12 of our premierships and seems to have been, from afar, a Fuchsias/Demons fan: his writings foreshadowed what it would, but now might soon, be like for Demons fans for the 60-odd years after his death...'A Grief Observed', 'The Problem of Pain', 'Surprised by Joy', 'Miracles' and, finally, 'The Business of Heaven'.

Why'd you get shafted for two weeks?

I wondered why there is still a high pitched ring in my ear.

Dee luded was unable to speak any comprehendable sentences although he did mutter something although this was no surprise.

The Dr was reciting Kant,Hume and Rousseau when I left and I believe he is as usual dabbling in Alchemy.

I wonder if Prodee is enjoying the therapeutic effects of our little DL Rehab?

Yes there is plenty to laugh about there Bd.

Only the Aussies are making an art form of being the easiest team to bowl against ...

Thought I would get in early as I would probably forget it tomorrow as I don't really care.

Thursday 1- I know nothing.

Mr Leg you keeping making these comments.

I am worrying about you.

Is this the beginning of the end?

Are we seeing one of the truly great supporters of the last half century wavering?

No, I am just struggling to enthuse about 2 late picks, as our only draft booty from 2016.

Pah to CS Lewis!!

Obvious Christian proselytising via heavy handed allegory and a bunch of snot nosed pommy kids.

Old Enid's snot noses were far better.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.
