Well it is mission accomplished as far as I am concerned

Two months ago I conceived a cunning plan to derail the Hawk's 4peat campaign, they were on a 7 game winning streak, had beaten the Swans in Sydney, demolished the Tigers and had moved 2 games clear on top of the ladder and they were giving me the shytes no end. And as the wife and in-laws are all mad hawks supporters there was a high level of tension in the household every Dawks game night as I have a developed a pathological hatred for them over the years for obvious reasons.

My plan was simply to place a large bet on them to win the flag. I haven't placed a bet on anything for 20 years because I have never won so much as a football club raffle in years of buying raffle tickets for local causes and as for horses or tattslotto forget it. In short I had put the "Curse of The Hood" on the team.

Once the bet was laid at 4.5 to 1 in my new Sportsbet account, I found I was totally calm on game night and was quite happy for the Dawks to smash their opponents. It was quite therapeutic actually.  And I really did think the Dawks were a real chance to win the flag as their main competitors were looking to be in average form.  And the winnings would go toward my next project to buy a C3 corvette stingray that my wife believes is utter folly. She keeps saying it is impractical to buy a 40 year old, gas guzzling, 2 seater with barely enough luggage space to store a tennis racquet. I mean really what would she know!

A few weeks later I watch the Dees beat them for the first time in 10 years, Stratton goes down, then the Weagles stitch them up and Ceglar goes down and all of a sudden the team looks old and slow but still has some fight left. And they certainly looked slow on Friday night as the Bulldogs ran all over them. Mitchell, Hodge and Gibson all seemed to be losing form over the last few weeks and they looked very human and battle scarred.

Poor Clarko must have been scratching his head and the sports journo's as to what went wrong but now you all know the real reason.

Looks like I will have to save a bit longer for the Corvette

But please remember to gamble responsibly!

Jolly decent of you to take one for the team Earl - particularly since have suffered some other financial setbacks of late.

However a word of caution. It does not do for we of the well to do class to show signs of generosity. It leads to no good.

It can set an unwanted tone and before you know it exploited workers are seeking a pay rise. Next thing those numeric visa types will want to move out of the back shed and demand fresh water.

We don't want to sow the seeds of revolution do we?

On a personal note, perhaps the good "Lady Hood" would be more amenable to the corvette if she wasn't concerned that you may use it to parade the hirstute Conchita?

Oh well toodle pip. I think shall give some of the staff a jolly good flogging.

A round with The Fence in a white HT Holden. The tastes suggest that the girls were all class. Even if you take the Holden or the Fence out of the picture.

And don't get me started with my Sandy Drive in stories!! Some good uns in there as well! Dont worry, Uncle Bitter will top that. I think the closest Romsey ever had to a Drive in theatre was parking your car outside a Retravision store and watching the TV's In the front!

Nah, the Crazy Horse. Cheaper than the Shaft, and they wipe the seats down between each session.

Justin Bieber elicits similar emotion in his audience.

After he performs there is never a dry seat in the house.

There is absolutely little doubt that this thread has been building to an exciting and crescendo over the past few months and reached an exciting moment of climax just before 8:00pm last night as the events at Spotless Stadium unfolded. I am not surprised therefore that nobody has posted here in the interim.

Where have you all been celebrating?

Well Jack as you may have guessed , I was at a prayer group.

dc, I am certain would have been indulging in his Saturday night "hobby" of rogering blue rinsers.

picke fence would be buried in his ongoing stud fantasies that mostly sexualise early model motor cars

I have good information that Moonie is currently in a land far away creating a huge credit card debt

The ever feckless and unreliable Biffen was, I more than suspect, indulging in a cocktail of illegal substances

Earl Hood was at a currently fashionable hipster hamburger joint delicately sipping on what , to most, would be an unpalatable craft beer. Probably brewed from hoarhound and yams.

od was most likely enjoying a free Pinot ( he will deny this and claim supplies are exhausted)

As to Ernie well he would be wrestling with the moral dilemma of whether or not to post on this thread

bb and RL play their cards close to the chest - their whereabouts remain unknown. Although I have heard that RL has more (less) than healthy interest in Redtube.

As more information comes to hand you can be sure I will reveal it

Whilst Uncle Bitter had taken the blades of his ride on mower and instead attached ostrich feathers for a 'Jolly Good Feathering" !!

I doubt very much you have been at prayer group Uncle Bitters, but I do know you spend too much time on your knees.

I have no doubt that certain of the activities detailed in this thread – BBO's in particular, though not exclusively – can be formalised sufficiently to walk off with one of these awards next year.
