This is a tricky exercise. If you had said in June 2006 that 5 years down the track, the best player at the MFC would be between Colin Sylvia and Mark Jamar,

Not by everyone... Y_M would have claimed you were copying him... :D

I'm going to say Jack Watts. Just can't see how anyone will be able to stop him should he continue to improve the way he has been.

I thought exactly the same thing this weekend, that him at 70% of how good he can be will still equal 4 goals and Riewoldt-like importance to MFC.

My smoky is Jordan Gysberts.

For mine, the answer is McKenzie. He will be as important to us as Lenny Hayes is to the Saints. Nobody says he's their best player, they always say Riewoldt (read: Watts). But it's absolutely no surprise to me at all that he comes out of the team, and they all fall apart.

So in the Meida, I think they'll say Watts. In the real world, Jordie. Though it could easily be McKenzie, Gys, Scully, Trengove... Depends on what week. :D

Should he stay, Scully for sure. Trengove, McKenzie and Gysberts will all be top-class midfielders by then, and looking at Jack Watts on Sunday he will be playing like that consistently in 5 years. Frawley and Grimes will be also be as prolific as Scarlett and Enright are for the Cats down back

Gotta say Trengove. Scully Gsyberts McKenzie etc are all guns, but Jack is just so polished and seems to have such a good footy brain. Love watching the ball end up in his hands. If we had only had one pick in 2009, i'd rather they'd taken Trenners.

Hrmmm.... Jack Viney?Haha.. Nah not yet.

I will say Jurrah if Watts Howe and Cook allow him to play his natural game by them taking the bigger and better backman. Want him to play a Stevie J role eventually.

Speaking of Jack, anyone see the kudos on him for Vic Metro this weekend? He's looking very very likely.

    Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force for training at Gosch's Paddock on Wednesday morning for the MFC's School Holidays Open Training Session. DEMONLAND'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS REHAB: TMac, Chandler, McVee, Tholstrup, Brown, Spargo Brown might have passed his fitness test as he’s back out with the main group.  Sparrow not present.     Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on.     There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
