Jamar In, Jurrah Out?

He's not playing as well as he can. That is obvious. The reason is unknown, whether it be injury or simply poor form.

If it's injury, he should definitely not be playing. Given this potential groin/thigh/leg injury has been floating around for a few weeks now, yet he has continued to play, I question whether it is true, as I reckon the club would be better than to ignore it and let him keep playing.

So I reckon it's simply a form rut. I would not answer it by dropping him. He can win us a game, single-handedly, with 5 possessions. He turned the Brisbane game around. He isn't a seasoned veteran, he's played, what, 25 games? He's still learning. That's not to excuse his poor form, he has work to do and he isn't playing good football, but I don't see the benefit in dropping him at all. Especially given the lack of forward options on our list. I mean, dropping Jurrah, out of form or not, for Dunn is just insane.

Leave him. Richmond will be a chance for him against a defence that honestly isn't great. Followed by a struggling Doggies defence, then the bye, then up in Darwin where AD will rev him right up.

You can't have Jamar and Gawn in the same forward line. Jamar in = Gawn out.

Jurrah is a separate issue. If he's out it should be for Dunn, Gysberts, Tapscott etc.

Another possibility which I'm keen on is Jurrah as the sub. I think he'd be really exciting to bring on fresh.

Theres a bit of logic and sense here.

Also with Jurrah whilst it ought not be really an excuse for his form here is a man playing whilst he has far too much on his plate in the form of his family and community problems. Far too much weight on his mind

You wouldnt be human if it didnt affect you . This does raise the spectre of which is better for him. To continue persevering or let him sort it out and come back fresh and settled?

He plays because he takes a good defender, when the structure works Green kicks 5 because we had Jurrah, Watts, Howe, Petterd and Sylvia for the defence to look after and apart from Collingwood, no team has that many really good defenders who will win each contest....Jurrah doesn't have to kick a bag or get a lot of possessions to be effective, and if you listen to Bailey we went handball-happy, if we had kicked more often and better, perhaps this wouldn't even be a topic.....besides that we won......can we leave the hair shirts off this week

All players play injured to some extent.

He hurt his knee earlier in the year and is trying to work through it.

He has got to learn to work through it at some point so he should be kept in the side.

And as you say, he is part of a decently functioning forward line (well, every second week...).

jurrah has been out of form, but i think he had an okay match on the weekend, most of it in the last quarter when bailey gave him a bit of a liscence to roam. having said that he had 3 tackles, and chased on numerous other occasions which ticks my main problem with him, and with only 14 touches he still kicked 2.2 and had 9 score involvements, his match wasnt as bad as people are making it out, and i for one think he was much improved than in his last few weeks, so i would definitely be keeping him in the team!

Jurrah kicked 2 goals 2 behinds despite being out of touch and low on confidence. I wish every out of form, low on confidence Demon could muster that type of output.

If the kid can run, he can play. 2 games a rest and a trip to Darwin sounds a good recipe for a return to form for me. Stick with him.

Jamar comes in for Gawn next week, the Russian/Stef combination ruck FF will seriously stretch the young Tiger talls.
