You can pretty much mark him down for a poor performance on Monday, then. I am a firm believer in the Footy Show Curse - that it's very difficult to play well the week you appear on TFS.

It's mindless, brain numbing entertainment..........but I still like it.

Garry dancing in a Yo Gabba Gabba outfit last week was comedy........which I'm aware says a lot about my intelligence and maturity, but I still found it funny.

Yeah, I found that hilarious.

I mean, they never said it was a serious footy analysis show...

nope Brad Green Jack Watts together just a month ago or something

Colin Sylvia was the last panelist. Brad Green and Jack Watts appeared briefly to promote the membership drive, but they sat in the crowd.

Benno, the RL Footy Show is nothing compared to what it was 5 years ago. The AFL one has won the last how many logies? The NRL one lost me when they got rid of The Chief, Matty Johns and Sterlo. Those days were some of the funniest TV moments I have ever seen.

The only footy shows (of any code) I watch now are ones on Fox, and the Channel 7 one of a Sunday morning.

Mmmm... Logie winning hey? Now there's a good indicator of quality television

Can we just hand the Vice Captaincy back to Beamer now please? The guy is the heart and soul of the footy club. Numberous footy analysis shows this week highlighted his ferocious attack on the footy at the first bounce on Friday night and how it set the tone for the others to follow.

Woohoo! I got my wish and I only had to wait five hours...

Hahaha Beamer's face trying to figure out the puzzles is absolutely priceless!

Great footy player, lovely bloke... unfortunately not too sharp.

Green is fine on TFS. Davey is the one who is bad (To be fair he has improved though).

You can't have seen too much of him on tv then.

Brad Green is cringeworthy!

Sometimes I have to change the channel because it's so awkward!

Very wooden too.

Anyway, fingers crossed he will improve.

And that one of the kids with a personality, like Watts, starts doing these gigs so we can get some half-decent promotion for the club.

Calling it how I see it.

Unfortunately he is terrible infront of a camera.

Have you watched him?

i happen to be interested in football, not public speaking, and I don't know Brad Green so I wouldnt get online and sledge his personality for no reason, especially since he is the captain of the club i love

Yep, that's great, but I wasn't critiquing him as a player, and we're talking about him as a panel member on TFS, which requires public speaking.

Didn't criticise his personality either, other than saying he's a bit wooden and it doesn't come across on camera.

Didn't make any comment about his ability to be captain.

Try not to be so precious.

This is a thread about Beamer right?

How did he go? I missed it...

Utter gold. I jumped on the thread as I missed the show as well, wanted to hear how Brent went....and in typical 'land fashion we have turned it into bagging our own......brilliant.

Gee, look at everyone go!!!

I watched The Footy Show (first time this year!) in its entirety last night and thought Beamer was too professional for the show!! Very level-headed and serious - just like on the footy field.

He didn't talk a great deal... mainly just at the top of the show talking about being reinstated as vice-captain of "the team he loves" (his words).

The panel never seems to speak a great deal - talk a little bit when they are introduced and give their footy tips. Not much else.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
