Colin Garland (knee) test

Cameron Johnston (ankle) test

Tom Scully (knee) 3 weeks

Jordie McKenzie (groin) 4 weeks

Robert Campbell (achilles) 6 weeks

That's last weeks injury list, as reported on afl.com

The one in the Herald Sun is a copy and paste job fron the AFL one.

So in theory, take a week off everyone above.

Round 4 and only 3 injuries is pretty sweet.

I'll second that.

I'm guessing Sylvia's ankle is okay? Haven't heard any mention of it, he did run the game out on it but more curiousity.

And hopefully Dunn getting smacked in the face caused him to shave that terrible 'stache of his.

I think removing the tape will help to thin it out at least :)

Has it been reported that it is his ankle that is playing up? He had issues at the end of of the Hawks game I think, then again against the Lions. I had a terrible thought that it may have been at the end of his foot, where he had issues last year. So hopefully someone can ease my mind and tell me it is his ankle!

aka toes?

Was it his big toe that caused him grief last year? Sorry, can't remember!

As I said, if it is reported that it's his ankle, all good (sort of!), just looks more foot related to me.

Cant wait for Jordie Mac to return, very underrated player in my opinion. Obviously will be good to add Scully's run and pace. Both of these guys are walk up starts In our best 22 so who will get the chop when they're ready?

It's going to be a big call who they replace. I'm sure the usual suspects will come running in saying Jones will be one. But, if, and it is a big IF, Jones strings some good games together like he did on the weekend, then there is no reason that he should be dropped.

I think Dunn will need to pull his finger out and I'm buggered if I know who else!

You'd think we were playing well...

that is a very good question, and one i can't answer right now, which can only be a good thing

That's the stupid part - we aren't playing well but are having trouble naming 2 guys that should be replaced by 2 second year players! Based on current form, I'd say Green and Davey would have a question mark over them. They are 2 that haven't really shown anything this year, but are too valuable to leave out. I think Bennell is doing more than enough to hold his spot, and is growing in confidence.

Interesting month coming up.

Yet they won't drop either.

If I was to be brutal, I'd say Watts for Jordie, and push Davey forward. But I won't be surprised if he struggles to get in.

Has Bennell being playing? haven't seen him. Both will need to play a few weeks at Casey to get match fitness though. trengove and Davey struggling so there are spots. Green can move forward.

Cannot wait for both Jordie and Sculls to be back on the park, we have missed both of them considerably so far this year.

Guessing Bartram wasn't as bad as he looked, not Dunny's broken nose.

What happened to the kid with the thyroid problem?

Both Jordie and Scully are 4 weeks off by which time we would have just played round 8 (North) or 9 (St Kilda) both of which are likely to highlight which midfielders should be replaced by the returning two... Month being a long time in footy...

Obviously you haven't seen any of our games. JB has played quite well without starring. The problem with Bennell is that he doesn't have that X Factor like the other "brothers", therefore he probably doesn't stand out as much. HG - this statement in no means is intended to sound racist.

The kid with the thyroid problem played half a game for the Casey reserves on the weekend.

The injury list above is from last week, so I'm expecting those injuries to be reduced by a week. The current list hasn't been published by the Club, so Tom shouldn't be 4 weeks away (fingers crossed).

Oh k.

Given both Tom and Jordie had leg injuries (reduced fitness) and their lack of "game time" this year, I can't see them both slotting into the team without a week or two in the Casey team. Hence round 8 - 9.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
