Having a look at my best 22(team selection) I have realised that 8 players did not strip for the NAB cup. Now that really excites me:

They are- James Frawley (pectoral muscle), 7/8 WEEKS

Nathan Jones (back soreness), -2/3 weeks

Jordie McKenzie (groin soreness),- 2/3 weeks

Cale Morton (finger) 7/8 WEEKS

Ricky Petterd (hamstring) 2/3 weeks

Matthew Warnock (ankle) will miss through injury.- 2/3 weeks

Tom Scully- TBC

Austin Wonaeamirri -TBC.

That to me is unbelievable along with winning twice in Adelaide on the same night. GO DEES.

You know what he 'means'...

Some statistical humour for everyone.

Median is the word he is looking for.

Easy way to remember - the median strip runs down the middle of the road. Median strip.

Thanks rpfc, you are correct of course

I could be a smartrz and say I was just testing, but as I can never lie, it was just a brain fart

And I did do stats (at uni too) enough to know I didn't want to be an actuary

Anyway, as I think you said in another thread statistics don't "mean" much (at least some of them)

BTW we have median strips in my part of melb that don't run exactly down the middle, but I like your memory jogger anyway

You are complete moron Bobby. Of course the NAB cup is important, nearly as important as a flag. I was very excited with our efforts tonight. Post something sensible next time!

I agree with you, he's a bit of a Num skull at times.

He probobly doesn't understand that we need to recieve winning form & Mo-mentum, just ask Dunny.

The Dunny brush, hmmn,,, I feel a nickname comin on. the 'Janitor', just cleans Up. LoL. forgive me.

Our H/Way has got 3 median strips, so we're doing really well. And they're all parallel to one another, a little like 'corridors', side by side. they go all the way to the railway bridge, but then that wall stops them in they're tracks. The railways tracks.

I suspect this draw was scripted with the expectation that both Adelaide's would beat us as a prologue for their mini derby.

this was the conversation at AFL HQ

Douchebag1: 'well clearly it is logical to schedule the adelaide clubs and the WA clubs to host a match and have a side come from interstate, so 2 victorian sides will have to draw the short straw and travel straight up'

Douchebag2: 'ok, so, game 1 at AAMI... Melbourne?'

Douchebag1: 'obviously'

And playing two teams in Port & Adel at AAMI; coming away with wins

First time ever where we travelled interstate and had so much support. Crows fans went nuts and cheered whenever our players did something against Port. And probably vice versa.

Conspiracies around every corner...

are you suggesting we are given fair treatment in this regard

Collingwood, Carlton and Richmond in Melb.. what are the odds they would send one of them instead of us to go to AAMI, would never happen in a million years

How can I view the games - no Foxtel?

Thanks

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
