Those Jumper's are PINKER than ever!

The jumpers tonight in Adelaide were absolutely terrible. I cannot seriously believe we were wearing a colour that looked dead set pink. Compare the colour of the socks to the colour of the jumper. That was just not good enough tonight. They better fix it, and soon.

Well, was to be expected - same jumpers as used in Intra Club game

I suspect NB will need to air freight the corrected jumpers to make season start

they were extremely pink in the 1st game, then under the lights later i thought they looked alot darker more like the red in the jumper i have.. theory on the sun reflecting making it look lighter?

Yep, the jumper is horrible. Horrible.

No doubt it was someone at the factory selecting the wrong colour. I imagine it looks even worse against the dark navy.

I'm sure they're fixing it, but obviously the bigger issue now would be timing. With CNY some factories don't get their workers back for 1-2 months, plus you have to factor in freight time. Fingers crossed NB are all over it and sorting it out ASAP. We can't play proper matches in that thing!

although if we are winning maybe the pink helps with the hand eye coordination. MAYBE this is a stroke of genius from the FD!! cos i never saw us win 2 games in adelaide on the same night before!!!!

Excluding the pink, the jumpers looked great. I love the collars and the cut of the jumper and it is by far the best white alternate jumper Melbourne has had.

Agreed. Though you can't exclude that pink!

At least we always have one thing uglier than those jumpers to distract us... Dunn's mo.

I swear to god my urge to knock him unconscious so I can shave that off is right up there with my urge to punch Chad Cornes in the face.

Jurrah's fin/mullet is getting worse.

Jurrah's fin/mullet is getting worse.

Not friggin way. Jurrah's mullet is perfection.

In fact, he should be given special permission by the AFL to wear a fluro green cape with the letters L & J studded in gold on it.

He is too awesome and can do what he likes.

if this was face book damonthedemon.. that would get a massive LIKE!

YEAHAH i love dunns mo he is one serious CAT (not the geelong kind of course).

The Jurrahcane is the smoothest dude in AFL right now. We all knows it!

Right

So all off season we have been stoked on seeing these new jumpers, the launch was wonderful, they photographs too..all the marketing stuff over the off season was brilliant. But I have just looked at the HUN photos and some posted by people today and I am sorry, but unless I am going colour blind, those new jumpers are 100% pink or fuscia at best. It's a joke guys! Essendon and Sydney jumper manufacturer's have no problems getting the red right, why us?

If anyone needs to see the photos go here: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/gallery-e6frf9o6-1225999604981?page=16

If that is red then I am Keith Richards. Look forward to opening the paper every weekend to see the team of the PINK AND THE BLUE! At least we can wear these for the cancer clash without having to manufacture something new! JOKE!

Settle down you blokes and sheilas I reckon the club's having a lend of us here. Come round one and the real jumper will emerge.

Terrible guernseys - my girlfriend Jade, who is beginning her first season as a Melbourne supporter/member, asked me why the club were wearing pink tonight.

Talk about an embarrassment to the club. Imagine what the rest of the AFL world were thinking..... It was the first match! Everyone was watching!!!!

I've said this many times before on this forum, but people just have no idea how hard it is to get a good red.

That coupled with the fact they don't really know what they want...

Pleasing some people is a nightmare.

Mmmm how embarrassing. 'Nuff said.

Cam Schwab twittered that he had many questions regarding the colour of the jumpers and that it is all "being sorted and new fabrics can be a bit hit and miss".

I started this topic, but after 2nt i retract.....that [censored] was fluro crimson.....horrid!!!! sort it out NB...i get the point...it was ultra vis workman red....look at our red vs the crows.........that's red ... sort it out NB...AND b/W..BUT ON A =NOTHER NOTE....GO YOU deeeeeemons...

I accept that mistakes happen, and that the initial batch of jumpers have turned out to be the wrong shade of red. However, if Melbourne run out against Sydney in Blue and Pink jumpers, I will be severely [censored] with NB. Fair enough if the supporters can't get proper jumpers for a few months, but it is ridiculous that a football club, that has over 100 years of Red and Blue history is forced to play in pink guernsey's due to the incompetence of a clothing/manufacturing company. They are not doing themselves any favours here, let alone the MFC.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
