Love that both pies and swans had to use their first rounder on their respective player.

We have placed a bid on Isaac Heeney wth pick 2. Swans have matched that pick.

Sydney gets another leg up.

Sydney gets another leg up.

Sydney just got a gun junior for pick 17 or 18. that's an amazing freebie.

will happen next year as well.

It is 3.10am here in Mauritius and l couldn't sleep until l knew this result. Welcome to the MFC Billy and now l can have sweet dreams!

Interesting that we bid pick 2 on Heeney, I wonder if the club will try and poach him in the future

Sweet Dee will be very happy!!! The 'little ironman' got thru to the 3rd round!!

I think it was just Roos making sure the Swans didn't get away with murder. Pick 19 downgrades it to manslaughter.

Or making a political statement that the system is flawed beyond meaning.

I reckon it shows that we're going to use pick 2 on the best midfielder in the draft. Pick 3 is what we'll shop around.

Stoked on Billy.

Maybe the Swans could be looking for a first round pick now and we could be able to help out for the right deal.

39 is a great result for us.

Welcome Billy.

should be pick 40 something by the time all the compensation picks are handed out.

Stoked. We get Stretch without compromising our position at the trade table.

Excellent way to begin my favourite period of the year.

Welcome Billy!

It really is the best time of the year. It's a time full of hope and promises. It's a time before our souls are crushed and our dreams are shattered. Welcome to Demonland.

fantastic stuff.

now what number is he gonna get??

what number did stretch senior wear? keep it in the family

Didn't his dad have #18?

Give the lad a high number and 18 when Cross retires (end of 2015?).

Nice to have a small win with Stretch, but Heeney for pick 17 or whatever is a joke. The system is broken and the AFL don't care. If Heeney was going to the Bulldogs, they would have had to use pick 5 to get him. How is that fair?

It's the same as Hawthorn only getting pick 19 for Franklin but Melbourne could potentially get pick 3 for Frawley.

No system is perfect.
