Although a few posters are trying to shout down.....the point I am trying to make, yes it is the preseason, yes there isn't much news, but this is a thread about a Richmond player on something that happened two seasons ago........we have so much to look forward to, yes he may have made a contribution to our future.....but who bloody cares!!!!!!!

This is a thread about a player that retired. It is amplified because he kicked a bloody goal after the siren to win a game of football. A great feat in itself (especially from him) but the fact that one kick had such a ripple effect on a few clubs (his own included) is the reason it is the talking point it is.

The fact that he basically marked after the siren just makes it all the more beautiful. Hats off Jordie, we'll miss you.

I think many here underestimate Jordan's ability as a footballer. In his early days at the Bulldogs he was a difficult player to beat and often ran the lines to good effect. It was only when he changed clubs and went to Richmond that he turned to slops and that matchwinning goal last year was uncharacteristic of his time in the yellow and black. It's unlikely he would have done it if they'd kept Terry Wallet as their coach.

More lately he gave the Tigers' revival a massive boost by maintaining his consistently average form at Coburg therefore enabling their selectors to resist the temptation to promote him to AFL level.
