Ricky Petterd's shoulder

I was just thinking today, is it two seasons in a row now that Ricky Petterd has been out (for the most part) because of

his shoulder? I hope this doesnt become a recurring thing for a exciting player!

Can't wait to see more of him next season!

Also does anyone know if he's been training lately or if he's gonna be hindered at all in the pre season?

I spoke to him at one of the later games, might've even been the Sydney game, whatever game it was Greeny was on fire and I told Ricky he won't be able to get a game if Green keeps it up... Anyway, he said he was a couple of weeks away from full training back then, so he should have a big preseason.

If you read his twitter he has been doing the weights for a few weeks now, so shoulder must be ok....he keeps saying he is trying to get 'big'.....must get a bit of ribbing from team mates, know Chip is one of his best, so standing next to him must make him feel small.....think he wants a run in China

I'm still grumpy that we left him on when it already looked dodgy and the match was shot, but anyway.

Yep, that was a bad decision.

I think that'd be typical Ricky too, though.

He's a tough bastard.

He won't need to get big. He's got the mo now as well, he can do anything

Jeez tough is an understatement! Ever since his debut my heart skips a beat at every contest because he is so bloody courageous!

Can't wait to see him out there next year, if anyone deserves a full successful years it's him!

I agree. It was obvious he was in trouble with his shoulder but they just kept sending/letting him back out.

Mmm, it may be true - but if it was me making the call I'd have told him to sit down and rest up. I said as much when I was watching the coverage at the time.

I was surprised they called it a season after round 6 with a shoulder injury. If we were in finals calcualtions, they may have rushed him back.

I think they were aiming @ Next Year all along.

A big uninterrupted preseason before the season proper. We need to get away well from the get go.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
