Sylvia : The Footy Show

Thats 3 different threads you have bagged Sylvia. I don't want these guys to get over-exposed or ahead of themselves either but I doubt appearing on a TV show 2 days earlier would effect how he played. He didn't get enough of the ball & missed a set shot but took some good grabs and was serviceable.

I started reading this thread and thought that Joeboy's 3 word analysis had turned to crap, i then looked up and realized he didnt even start this rip off thread.

Lay off his turf!!

whats crap about it?

Can anyone explain to me why Grimes kicked sideways almost every time he had the ball? Even right at the end of the game, when North Melbourne had the game won he went sideways when he could of attacked and he sprayed the kick too.

Nothing, but it's kind of joeboy's thing.

They usually generate a couple of pages of good discussion.

well i saw no-one had posted the 3 word analysis and i thought if no one will do it ill give my 2cents worth. sorry if i offended anyone..

yeah i noticed that for alot of players - could it have been the dreaded GAMEPLAN? The same one we used in the glory days of 2008/09??

i am only offended at how kind you were to the team after today's effort

then please voice your opinion as that is what this site is for..

Damn well i can try...

Davey - some poor kicking

Green - a true leader

Moloney- 3 bad quarters

bruce - learn from scully

batram - did a job

garland - our best defender (today)

sylvia - poor game today

grimes - some dodgy disposal

trengove - missing at times (although its only his 5th game so he was fine really this 3 word thing is hard)

frawley - not as composed

mcdonald - could be better

bennell - not enough drive

rivers - fairly benign performance

macdonald - kicking needs work (specifically i mean stop kicking it into the man)

dunn - not doing enough

jamar - vital player again

bate - where was he?

warnock - some clangers today

jones - good disposal again

petterd - some class occasionally

martin- not good enough

scully - brilliant playmaker again

Obvious instuction after 1/2 time was to spread the ball more, had to try something we were getting smashed up the middle, worked too

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
