"Police will allege he then spat a mouthful of blood at officers trying to apprehend him"- Holly [censored]!!

Who does this guy think he is? Count dracula? That's the most dispicable behaviour I have ever heard from a footballer (ex or currently playing) ever!

What an absolute DISGRACE to the jumper!! Makes my skin crawl that I used to cheer this guy on!!

Do you think he'll regret not making the most of his opportunity in the AFL when he's older? It's a shame to hear he's like that. I liked Chopper when he was playing for us. Except I'd always be screaming at him to play in front of Gehrig and he never did, and was always led to the ball. Not to fast, was Chopper Carroll, to be beaten in a footrace by Fraser Gehrig

That reminds me of Fraser's great play in the 2006 final where he had the ball a little outside 50, near the flank, and tried to 'run' around the mark but instead 'pulled' something and got pantsed by Carroll. That was a good moment.

Yeah. That was hilarious. An absolute game-changer too, if I recall.

I wouldn't read too much into it. My brother was up on assault charges when he grabbed an Officer's shirt (Because the Officer has pushed him!) and a button came off.

Between the media and the coppers stories can get a little out of hand!

Yeah, he had trouble playing in front because he had no ability to judge where the ball was headed, he made up for this with loads of courage. He could follow a pack and crash the top to spoil the incoming ball because the pack lead him to it but he was easily led under the ball cos he had no ball judgement of his own which was a shame

I loved watching him play. If my memory serves me correctly he put on a bit of muscle over the last summer and never quite played the same after that.

It is sad to hear Carroll has fallen so far from grace.

The truth is he still has what many listed players do not have. Blind courage, and massive testicular fortitude.

If you could bottle that part of Carroll it would be a winning formula. The rest of Carroll seems to be venom, which he is using to poison himself.

I hope he sorts himself out, and makes good with a life that could be better spent.

Nothing used to get me more pumped than Chopper and Dutchy crashing and bashing through everyone in the opposition's forward line before the first bounce of every game.

In reality, he was an average footballer though.

Average footballer when the MFC midfield was providing excellent control....

And a complete Dill as a bloke while playing and obviously since retiring

Only part of him I miss is his Mo.... not enough of that left in Aussie sport

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
