What a fantastic idea. Let's forget about the core reason why the club exists and instead we can offer to help out in the kitchen.

I follow a Football club not a cake stall.

After yesterday things need to be said.

Look it was just a thought never thought it would be popular!

The sentiment of the OP is clear, but it would be unfair to say we're not allowed to talk about poor on-field performances at all.

I remember someone (Hannibal maybe?) doing a poll/thread last year about what the purpose of a football club's existence was. IMO it's about delivering on-field success to members and supporters. So I believe every Melbourne supporter has a right to be frustrated and to criticise poor performances.

Criticism and helping the club out off the field are not mutually exclusive though.

Our off field performance wouldn't be such a worry if we didn't serve up the sort of absolute carp delivered yesterday. Perhaps those involved should offer to only accept the salary they think they earned for yesterday's debacle... might provide an interesting insight into a group who look like a bunch of takers who are starting to believe their own [censored] about everything taking more time.....and if they were fair dinkum would deliver the club a dividend to offset those who haven't renewed their membership yet and won't be encouraged to shell out now.

In my opinion, the Club owes me 13/14ths of what I've already payed it. Every home game Melbourne plays is return for the money I've already put in for a membership. So, I feel that they owe me and all the other members good on-field performances, as much as they owe it to themselves.

No. They're usually members of the club, as well as demonland... certainly the majority of posts belong to club members. We're not just fans. We fund this bad boy. We have a say, but have nowhere (really) to send our grievances. What we see on the board these last few days is completely understandable and fair enough. In fact, I'd be more worried about our supporter group if we DIDN'T kick up a fuss, given what we saw this weekend.

As fans/supporters we wear out hearts on our sleeves. We all have to go into work this week and listen to every other football supporter tell us how freaking bad our club is. They wont sit there talking about our off field problems, they will be getting stuck into us about what our club does on the paddock.

Everyone is watching the on field stuff- so for me that is what really counts as a supporter.

You mean roll over and play dead?

On yesterdays performance I'd love to cut loose on what I thought. But enough people have said pretty much my thoughts anyway, so I'll leave it at that.

If the team or player deserves a spray, then what better way to express it on here, and if others agree, then thats better than venting out on the dog!

At least here will get a repsonse, good or bad and equals (usually) a good healthy debate. IF it becomes a personal attack then I would expect the moderators to step on it.

We support the team through the good and bad. When they play well then I'm sure the praise will follow.

Get it off your chest and move on. The next week is hope for a better effort.

I would be surprised if anyone at the club quoted anything thats said here. We might hope, word gets around most supporters are pretty much pi$$ed off and they expect

better.

I joined here to express my views, postive and negative.

If I'm ever wrong, somebody will put on the straight and narrow. if its goes way over the top,it will be deleted.

exactly, very well put. it must be hard for the 22 blokes who ran out yesterday to go to the pay office monday morning and ask for their pay cheques without a hint of embarrassment

No I dont mean roll over and play dead. I just prefer to read positive constructive criticism not all this "knee jerk" stuff.

However, I accepted your right to say it as you see it.

I agree with that.

As I do on other posters, I dont need to agree nor comment.

The knee jerk stuff, I skim through, the constructive stuff I take onboard. But we have that choice I wouldnt stiffle it. Each to their opinons. As you do yours.

In instances we have hangon007. The idea for Demon Heartland originated on this forum. So yes sometimes something worth while does evolve but only when the club is in desperate need haha.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
