What role did Judd play (if any) in the chained rookie incident?

Is the AFL going to act to ensure that Carlton has dealt properly with the incident.

Judd is a top football player.

He is an abysmal failure as a leader.

For those who reckon they know him, have brekky with him, polish his shoes or hold the door open for him ; so what!!!!!!

He chose to just laugh at Fev at the Brownlow.

He chose to do nothing to prevent their new recruit from drunken antics on the Blues Booze Cruise.

His own club president has given him a verbal backhander today.Yes the Club President.

He is paid gazzillions to play and LEAD this team on and off the field and does not cope well.

Stop defending his leadership to those who think he does do it well.

He IS high profile, this IS off season news, he really looks out of his depth as captain.

I hope he improves this aspect of his Carlton contract for his own sake.

Right on, lets not forget what happened while he was captain at the WCE, had a real good track record as the leader of this club as well. Best thing that ever happened to us was a dodgey under the table deal with VI$Y!

I'm gonna take a different tact on this -- I don't think punishment is necessarily the way to deal with these indiscretions, or at least its not the most important part.

I don't care how severe the punishments are, the club will be doomed to experience the fallout from similar mistakes time and again... until an ongoing education program is initiated for the entire organisation and framework is put in place to prevent these outcomes.

What is currently in place (or what was in place) is obviously insufficient.

And that is what needs to change to prevent a repeat.

Edit: I know this doesn't necessarily apply to Judd alone, but if you're honest this is just a thread to sling mud, based on his part in the incident/s.

Even more evidence in today's paper that suggests Judd is an average leader at best. The Jake King of Carlton

Hey leave jake king alone, i love the kid.

What was in the paper about juddy?

To add or sustain my opening thread I also refer to todays notification-http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/prank-wedding-vows-included-in-carlton-off-season-excursion-to-las-vegas/story-e6frf7jo-1225819424883.

To me Judd shows us again and again why we are so lucky he did not come to us as a leader and especially a captain. Glad also we have stuck with Junior to lead the toungest side this year in the comp.

That Article in the Herald Sun last Friday was a disgrace...What those carlton Boys did over in vegas was just a bit off good old Fun.

Hey the Hangover is a bloody funny Movie. The Journo in question should sack himself from sheer embarrassment....

The Booze Boat handcuff situ is another thing altogether. The law should go hard on this one-imagine if the young kid had fallen overboard.

Amazed that Vlad and the AFL have remained so quiet.

I agree completely - not sure how any of this latest 'incident' is anyone's business or how it harms anybody.

All just a tale of lads being lads.

Carlton seemed to be pretty OK about that Vegas article, with no denouncement or comment offered. It almost appeared like the story was offered to the Herald Sun, who even claimed it as an 'exclusive'.

Why would Carlton be so open with the newspaper that has been hammering it recently for poor off field behaviour? Also, why would the newspaper tell everyone who the source was? Normally they wouldn't do that at all, so why were they so keen to tell everyone now?

There's something not quite right there.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
