Luke Ball - Think Tank

Let me think about it .... Does anybody know who owns this board?

I would like to discuss it with them first. ;)

I admire your tenacity. I question your reason for it. But more than anything, I just want to provide you with the help you need.

My aunty makes really good cupcakes. I mean REALLY good. Icing. Sprinkles. Sometimes she mixes it up a bit and throws in a jelly snake. She is also the best French kisser I have ever encountered.

I'm in, and so is aunty Jess.

Edit: I'll qualify all that by saying: If you do have an idea that is in some way worthwhile, I will be one of the first to help.

No problems ... thanks. I will come back to you assuming the owners of the forum will allow me. Sorry need to discuss with them first as a matter of courtesy.

NB. I did say as long as it is worthwhile, and you haven't filled me with confidence.

I can't see how you seem to need approval of the site administrators, but it concerns me more than anything...

ha ha, i would be concerned as well Keyser. I believe you may have really put your foot in it this time. Site approval hey, what the hell is he planning to do. As long as it doesn't involve Barry's aunty you should be ok!

How so? I truly am happy to help if I think its worthwhile, but the chances of that happening are slim to none

You thought I was joking?!

I just want (sob) Luke Ball to come to this club (sob) so bad...

(Getting myself together)

I would bake for the man...

I'd do other things too.

Nothing sexual, I don't fly that way...

But...kill a man? Maybe, depends how well he's playing.

Hold up a bank? Yeah, if I got some help.

Scam Crown Casino out of millions? Already done that, but I'd go back to that well for LB if he needed some extra $.

No more puns, people.

Cheap laughter is just that.

Unrefundable and bad for the heart.

We tell Luke Ball that we are going to take you in the PSD or ND,so make it easy for us and enter the PSD and let us take another young kid.

There's no guarantee Saints will win a flag, they have 6 A Graders and the rest good footballers but are very well coached with a great gameplan.

There's no guarantee the Flogpies will win a flag, they played 6 top 4 teams this year and went 1-5 and the win was against the Bulldogs by 1 point and they played us twice in the first 8 rounds for a guaranteed 8 points and played interstate 4 times. The Pies are further away than most people realise and Jack Anthony and Cloke aren't setting the world on fire,Medhurst is shot and Daisy Thomas is the new blond pretty boy outside receiving Woewodin.

Is it so disastrous to come to the Dees, everyone outside our club carry on like we've won the spoon for the last 10 years, forgetting the fact that we were the no. 1 Victorian team in 2006 before the worst 2 years of injuries in our history sent us plummetting to the bottom of the ladder.

Luke,either way your a DEE.

I heard on the radio this morning, the end of a news statement on MMM (missed the first part) that Luke Ball has stated that he doesn't want to come to the Dees b/c he feels he would not be adequately supported by our midfield.

That's all I heard. Did anyone else catch the full story?

Pretty short sighted of Ball if it's true.

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

2024 Player Reviews: #35 Harry Petty

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. 2024 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. One to watch in 2024. Date of Birth: 7 March 2003 Height: 191cm Games MFC 2024: 15 Career Total:  15 Goals MFC 2024: 0 Career Total:  0 Games CDFC 2024: 6 Goals CDFC 2024: 0

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. 2024 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin

The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress.
