Bruce to V.L means that half his salary doesn't affect our salary cap. It doesn't free up a spot.

The way I understand it it actually does free up a spot on the list, but means you can take 1 less rookie.

But he'd just be replacing Robbo anyway.

Bruce going onto the VL does free up a spot, his spot on the list, he takes Robbo's spot on VL and then we have a spot available on our senior list.

But its just as if robbo was taking up a spot on the list and now he is gone...

So with Whelan, Wheatley and Robbo gone that has freed up 3 spots - dont be confused and think it is 4.

And on trade talk, Burgoyne to the dorks, mark 'gunshot' Williams to essendon and jay Nash to port.

Just ball and fev to go now.

To land a house hold name like ball will be great for this club.

...Suddenly, Sydney is back in the hunt and the football world is stunned that the Carlton machine with its seemingly endless supply of cold, hard cash which managed to lure to the fold such players as Chris Judd, Robert Warnock and more lately McLean has failed to get its men. Assuming that it really wanted them and wanted a trade to go ahead in the first place...

RIP Richard Pratt.

I agree it will be good to snag Ball. The paper says we have as much chance of getting him as we do of winning the flag next year. Looks like we have him in the bag then.... ;)

Iam a little more confident that what the Hun belives.

I can't see st kilda wanting to trade a player like ball to collingwood, who are a top 4 side, and will be challanging st kilda come finals next year.

Having said that, I've been following the dees for too long to get my hopes up on this.

A strong rumour is that Essendon would like to unload Laycock. I think he would suit our short & long term requirements, Your thoughts?

I don't think he would suit our requirements, to put it politely.

Steve Lavell: The Brendan Fevola deal is done. He's heading to the Lions. Lachlan Henderson and pick No.12 to Carlton for Fevola and pick 27.

I'm surprised, actually. Didn't think the Fev deal would go through. Carlton gets back into the first round as well, plus gets a promising young defender who can also play forward. Well done them.

I guess that just leaves Luke Ball.

The reason they site is that we don't have enough money. We have 500,000 before we hit our minimum TPP. Who writes this garbage?

This is a stupiid suggestion. Why would we do this when we could have got Fevola, We have delisted Robertson, Wheatley & Whelan due to our youth policy and recruiting Bradshaw would be a slap in the face to us all.

Didn't you earlier suggest a spud like Laycock?

Yes I did- one is a ruckman at 24 years of age- another a forward at 30 .I think we need a ruckman ,more than a full forward type. This is my opinion - however you are also allowed yours.Furthermore, I think their is quite alot of upside with Laycock. Bradshaw is in his twilight.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
