Now that Lepper is back on the market,we should seriously consider luring him to the Dees to groom our young, developing backline..

Our backline would benefit no end from a triple premiership defender and from all reports,he's a great teacher and communicator.

I know we currently have a backline coach but with a bit of juggling around,we can fit him in.

Sean 'not a Wellman' is doing a terrific job. No thanks.

Agreed.

Although many, including myself are a big wrap for Leppa, think Wellman's work with the defense over the past 24 months has been outstanding.

would much rather try and get West a full time position on the coaching panel, and for mine it would be good bye Mahoney, but i believe he is a bit of a bailey favourite

Already got a fantastic backline coach in Wellman, but maybe replace Mahoney.

Not sure what Mahoney has done (or not done) to be given the flick so easily.

Hasn't Mohoney also been a big part of our NT push? His relationships with certain players may be important.

Our backline is coming along in leaps and bounds with Sean Wellmen, so I agree in saying that we don't really need to make any changes there.

Wellman is the best thing to ever happen to the MFC defence in my lifetime. Must hold onto him at all costs!

That said, i think Leppa'd be a handy acquisition to our FD in an assisteant/development coaching role if he is available.

True, wouldn't disagree with that.

if we recruit any new assistant coaches it should be todd viney.....but i am happy with how there all going even mahoney, to be honest he hasnt had much to work with....next year will be telling for our football departments careers

I agree, i think our defense is the strongest part of our game. At least, when we are healthy.

Easily the strongest part of our game, no doubt. Wellman has done a fantastic job thus far and we must hold onto him.

Why? cause it's his fault that the ball doesn't get into the forward line. + Working with jets like Miller and Newton.

What about Paul Williams? People said he sux last year but is he now a gun cause the Bulldogs midfield is firing?

Doesn't Williams work with the doggies forwards...?

What mahoney has at his dispoal does not help his cause, no argument there, although it is getting better, but there just seems to be a lack of structure there, no improvement from the forwards, especially shots at goal.

I just think westy would give us more than what mahoney is capable of

Lepper has just signed with the Tigers today,DB met with him last week,it's a shame he would have been great for our young backline.

Tigers are going all out to develop their playing list by employing a strong stategic team starting with Hardwick, now lade and Leppitch.Retained only Wayne Campbell.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
