Debt Demolition

On the web site it says $807,295 but that implys only $82,295 has been raised outside the debt demoltion dinner. It also has not changed for about 10 days. I was under the impression that at least another $120,000 was raised at the ball on the 22nd of August.. Anyone got more insight?

Imguesing to be truthful but I think the figure on the webswite is interactive.. I.e its showing the debt in real time. Thats how it looks to me

Fairly certain the figure is incorrect. Even before ball there was a post with an updated figure above (by 80-100k odd) the 807k showing on debtdemolition.com.au. Perhaps the update was incorrect, but certainly the ball raised a hefty contribution not yet accounted for.

The figure on the website is a jpeg image, it is not interactive. It will only change when someone creates a new image and copies it over the top of the old one.

ok ill redefine... the figure is relatively current. Not so long ago it was 700 odd thousand..then it jumped back up most likely as another debt fell due.

Interactive then in the sense that someone does a weekly or fortnightly update...i.e. as they did with membership but not as frequent

Funnily enough, I rang the club yesterday to find out if that was the final total that was posted. According to the woman that I spoke to they are still sifting though the final cheques etc before posting the final amount.

I'm sure the total on the website doesn't reflect money raised at the ball. Were the proceeds of that definitey for DD?

Btw, 1-2 weeks is a long time when the campaign is for 4 weeks bb :P

EDIT: Not that I think it hasn't been updated in two weeks.

We are still waiting... seems to be taking a hell of a lotta time.

I think that's because payments continue to trickle in...

And if you put a definite end date on it, then people stop donating once that is reached; why would you want to do something like that?

Pretty sure we're just waiting for the tally to actually be updated.

Unless we only got $1-2 for the ball either the proceeds aren't being added to debt demolition as advertised, or the tally on the site hasn't been updated for some time.

Yep. With a modest profit this year and all sorts of changes successfully made, we might just be alright.

One more big heave and we're there.

Then we can start working forward, getting ready to maximise the exposure and commercial value of the rise up the ladder, and we'll be established, strong and looking forward to our 200th birthday and onwards.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
