I tell you what. If he kicks 1 more he's a chance. 2 more and he's be the leading contender to get a nom this week.

A late season nomination is a bit of fools gold, especially in a mickey mouse award... But still... Reward for what has obviously been hard work that impresses his coaches.

Blowing us away now. Carlton 10.4.64 to 6.3.39 but what have we done to deserve the constand barrage of injuries in the second half of the season. I've never seen anything like this before.

Take some Judd, add some Fevola... stir and you get a 5 goal lead before half time.

Seems to me they were stuck in second, up until a few minutes ago where they found 3rd.

I'm ok with that, but would like the ending margin not to be to different from this.

This is not doing much for our percentage.

How are we ever going to catch up to Fremantle is this continues?

without winning it would be nice to take it up to them :).. just see where some of our chaps really are as it were. Jamar going well..is he 'showcasing' himself ??? hmmm

I bloody hope so - I'd love to trade him and get maximum value - who knows what we could end up with?

Boak would be a very good result...

Oh we'll catch up to them...

In 2010.

Hadley and Petterd gone for the game. Petterd with groin. I would say that's his season too, which is a shame. That would make him roughly the 76th player on our list to be done for the season.

It's a real problem and something that has to be investigated.

It looks very much like we have 20 fit players at half time in the second last game with only 2 or 3 available for Casey including Paul Wheatley who's starting in the twos and is probably there just to qualify for the finals.

Meanwhile, Collingwood have all bar one or two players available for their two sides this weekend.

Based purely on stats, it sounds like Sylvia, Jurrah and Bate are our best.

I'd love us to come out and kick the first 3 goals of the 2nd half to give them a little scare, and then lose by 2 or 3 goals. Probably won't happen considering we're down to 20 men.

And what's with McLean having only 5 touches for a half?. Can he not play well against quality? Is he being heavily tagged? Been on bench?

Half time:

CFC: 6.3 12.5 - 77

MFC: 4.2 8.3 - 51

We're getting beaten, and are going to lose I think. But we're far from disgraced with the injury list we have, against a potential top 4 side with ok form.

Our standouts are Jetta who's had his best half, 15 touches and 2 goals. Jamar, with 3 ones providing a good target. Frawley was smashing Fev, until a 10 minute period where Fev got a couple. Sylvia also 17 touches to half time, and has been good.

Some ok performances as well, Bate, McDonald, Moloney, and Valenti has been in there.

Lots of concerns though. We have some players doing well, but not playing accountably. Their midfield are everywhere. Judd, Murphy and Gibbs showing what a couple more years development does. Gobbs has 24 touches to half time, Murphy 19. Altogether their side has 40 more handballs. Not a good sign, and the chief reason we'll lose this.

Also, Some players are being held very well. Jurrah getting smashed (may have sore hand, due to dislocated finger), McLean had 1 touch part way through the second quarter, having played 80% game time according to MMM. He has 7 touches now. Davey has 6 touches and been very quiet. Robbo got hurt, but came back on. Has only kicked one.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
