hahaha nice. I love the thought of that.

Its like Demetriou gave the seal of approval for Worsfold's performance against Freo and Bailey has said "Well, its your call. If you're gonna sign off on it like that, then thats the way I'll play it..."

Yeah exactly.... maybe this will be the match that changes the PP rule

Mind you, at least we are taking ourselves seriously enough to do everything in our power to further our cause.

Whats with the change 45, preparing to pass the baton??

Also shows that with all the experimentation in the world, there is no guarantee that we won't pick up an unexpected win if the other side is lousy enough.

DB has soared in my estimation. Everything in this game went right - he learnt a lot about a number of players, the team showed a massive amount of character to almost snatch it with the odds stacked against us (I thought it was only very good teams that get back to win games they should have lost - we came so close). But for all that, we lost and the PP's still intact. As I said, everything went right.

Yeah have to agree with the that. I think that we were clearly the better side today and it was quite difficult to engineer the result. Credit to the players.

Norm Smith would be turning in his grave at how his club have resorted to laying down.

Why don't You put a photo of Pendelbury & Thomas up on your profile?

By the way, it's a known fact that the umpires call time when THEY hear the siren, which can, at times, take ages to get from the source to the umpires ear.

We hear it instantly on the TV, but the umpire hears it often long enough after for a player to take the mark.

I think you are right but there is also a delay after it gets to the umpires ear.

it will take a moment no matter how quick you are to register the sound of the siren and get that whistle to your mouth to call time.. ...until he blows it the ball is in play. any which way its done and dusted now..theres teh result..we lost...darn !! :D

Well..im rather impressed with ol' Dean ;) and yet his best laid plans ( as oft are to do ) nearly came unstuck !! Just shows how inept the Toiges possibly are thatwe stil nearly won that !! and they won last wekk...wtf ???

Definitely some positives to take out of it.. . Posibly we may luck out with a few getting a holiday courtesy of the judiciary... two weeks ought to be ok ;)

but seriously.. Interesting to see the 'other' sides of a few players as they showed their wares when played out of position !!! Grimes is class . he had a few companions today. Jetta will do quite of thankyou.. but thats possibly for the player review threads.

Today was all about an outcome.. we got it... just !! phewwwwwwwwwwwww :o

Last week>

Essendon 2.5 (17) 5.6 (36) 10.9 (69) 14.12 (96)

Richmond 3.2 (20) 8.4 (52) 12.9 (81) 15.11 (101)

So, were Richmond so good last week, or are the Dons?

Unlike a few others who think as you do, you never stick around and back up your argument.

You're just a sniper.

And, if Mr Morton wanted to, he could reverse it and say the shame is yours for not taking into consideration the long term future of the footy club...

It is strange isnt it Richmond were good last week and the week before and what about Sydney?? They were shocking last week against us and yet they almost beat StKilda?? Throw in Port as well... we seem to have a strange effect on some teams

Grimes!!!

I see what you're trying to say. And I agree totally.

This is the most nuanced argument I have seen for a while.

But, let me interject for one moment with this...

Petterd!!!

Maybe we are both right?

I feel for the players, they were a better team than Richmond. Hands down. Who would of thought Jordan McMahon! Good to see Warnock help out Davey in the fight against King. Sylvia back next week. Nice username change 45.

Yeah, do you mean the delay between when he hears it and when he puts the whistle to his mouth? If so, that makes sense.

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
