My 3 word player analysis

You'll have to swear dee-luded in - Knight him/her in the customary way, won't you...

In the time honoured fashion of the 3 word player analysis , Joeboy annoints Dee-luded to assume the role ,with the following swearing in vow .

IT"S YOUR JOB ! ( for 3 weeks )

But don't get too comfortable , 'cos

I'LL BE BACK ! ( I need the money )

Epic Fail Thread.

No but seriously I'll miss reading your posts Joeboy. Perhaps we can start an "epic fail of the week" thread in your absence? I'm sure this last few rounds are going to be brilliant quality football. It would be fun to point out the biggest stuff up of the week :D (and lets hope it's not winning...)

I'll remind you of that on Sunday.

It's going to be a great concept, and much like the 3 word analysis will catch on. Bring your visual aids! :D

I know most won't really care , but my weekly thread will not appear for the next 3 weeks as I'll be tanking it overseas .

Anyone is welcome to take over in my absence .

Hopefully when you get back we have the PP wraped up. I wish I could take off for 3 weeks, I cant handle all this tanking and wanting us to lose even though I know its for the best.

Completely forgot to do this but really this game completely lacked in passion. We wanted to lose and everyone knew we wanted to lose. Guys were played out of position like Morton, any analysis completed on this game is largely irrelevant.

Morton out of position?? Bailey played him on goodes, i think he was perfect fit for the role, tall, can match him around the ground! Thought it was a great coaching move!

Morton tagging is out of position for a HBF/wingman.

Did a good job but played out of position.

Explained.

You're both right and wrong. Morton was played in a different position to usual, not a wrong position, and did well in it. It showed me that Morton has the ability to play more than one end of the ground. It also showed me that Bailey is willing to move players around the ground at the expense of winning the game.

The game did lack passion, though.

Yeah point taken. Bailey is clearly playing them in unfamiliar roles to improve their skills (and to tank). Morton is a good example. His strength is running up and down the wing racking up touches and creating play, tagging a player of Goodes' ability wouldn't be a role that he's had to do much before. I think he did very well, but Bailey is clearly not coaching to win, he's coaching for the future, and I love it.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
