Made some shocking errors yet again.

Off the top of my head -

- A classic Bruce handball that put Bell under immense pressure who was pounced upon and pinged by the ump on the Port 50. Result = goal to Port

- A rubbish kick on to the wing that should have hit a wide open McLean, but instead missed him by 20 metres. The ball bounced badly straight to a Port player who sent it forward. Result = goal to Port

2 out of 37 isn't bad. In all seriousness Cam Bruce has been inspired the last two weeks. I love the way he has been hitting the ball at pace and running forward and hitting targets. Exactly how he was playing when at his peak. Clearly BOG by a fair way IMO. MMM had him with 11 contested possesions.

Fair enough.

I did say on the 3 word analysis thread that he had a pretty good game.

Was definitely in our best twelve or so players.

Aaah. That's better. I thought you were high for a minute there.

You're still a [censored] though. Almost everyone on here claims he was BOG, and he's only in our "best 12" according to you. Bruce's effective disposal percentage was in the eighties...

Unbelievable.

I'm surprised you didn't give the 6 votes to Sylvia.

Sorry guys, Bruce wasn't BOG. He was excellent at sweeping across half-back and clearing up the danger, but disposal again let him down more than it should for it to be a BOG game.

Moloney (Clearances in the guts and beautiful kicking up the middle)

Bruce (see top)

Jurrah (no comment needed)

Petterd (presented all day, marked strongly and kicked crucial goals)

Jetta (just needs more polish in front of goals to be a star)

Warnock (beat Tredrea well)

Jamar would have polled except for the missed goals.

McLean, McDonald and Green all stood up too.

Yeah, poor disposal eh? 16 out of 19 EFFECTIVE kicks isn't that bad is it? Maybe you are a perfectionist.

No Bruce.

Its posts like this that make me wish I could block you.

Ever heard of an opinion?

Toughen up, princess.

What will happen to the player of the year when we beat Freo by 100-1?

I never said his disposal was poor... As stated by someone else above his disposal directly led to two PA goals. And if you look at my votes I gave him 5 anyway and described his game as excellent so what more do you want? Me thinks you are (and always have been) a touch Bruce sensitive...

For the people who put all their faith in the effective possessions stat, honestly it isn't worth the stat-keepers time to bother calculating it. I would rather Moloney kicking 30-55 metres through the middle of the ground at 75% than Bruce kicking 30 metres sideways across halfback at 86%.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
