Not sure if any of you even care.. but a mate of mine is playing with him up in QLD and apparently he is still playing good footy!

http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info.cgi...sectionID=60069

if only we still had a young jeff white on offer!!

I wish him all the best. Pity he has to wear an Essendon Jumper though. Looks Hideous!!!!

lol. of course he is still playing well. He was only cut because of our youth policy. He would still embarrass the likes of jamar, spencer and paul johnson if he came back now.

  so true!!

Absolute nonsence! The game at AFL level had well and truely passed Jeff by when he received a tap on the shoulder at Melbourne. He played a good part of his last season at Sandringham, and was no more than a solid contributor at VFL level. If he still had it in him, he would have been drafted by another club!!

Totally agree, if he was up to it there would have been 15 other clubs queing up for him at the end of last year. how many tried to draft him again?

Wish him all the best also. While it was well and truely time to go at the end of last year I would have liked to see him play out the year in Melbourne's team at FF. Robbo was injued and thought he could have done some nice work down there. Hopefully Meesen and Spencer will develop into a solid combination in the coming years.

The way in which White finished his career, the only person he would embarrass would be himself.

 Too true.

All the best to him though, was a great servant to the club for many years, but his time was up...

Thought he was going to dedicate himself to playing golf when he retired from the AFL

His brother plays at Redlands. He is playing / working at a course down the coast whilst having a kick with his bro on the weekends.

Good on him I say.

One aspect of White's game that I still miss was the fact that he was usually a reliable go-to marking option for our kick outs down the guts when we needed an outlet. Of our current ruck stock I don't see any that have put their hand up for that role. Hopefully things will change as apects of our game plan grow and our rucks grow in confidence and ability.

Jeff never tore apart a game of footy and didn't last year either. Fact was Bails was ready to move him on and that meant making way for inferior talent to develop. His speech at Olympic Park post last years round 22 game showed he has admirable character. Would have been a good example for you, but you probably weren't there?

How we forget?

Jeff demolished a number of opposition rucks and had substantial impacts on games rucking singlehanded in 2004 when he was AA. He was brilliant that year up to Rd 18 or so when the season took its toll on him. He was also pivotal in 2000 and 2002 when we made serious pushes up the ladder.

However, the laws changed, the game evolved and overtime White's performances diminished. He really struggled in his final year and it was no surprised he was eventually replaced by those expected to continue in MFC colours for 2009.

The Club gave him a fair send off for long service (11 years). In the last four years there was an unreasonable reliance by ND on him to be our No 1 ruck. He faltered during that period and MFC are still trying to address the rucking issue.

Good luck to him. Nice bloke and good golfer apparently

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
