Charlie gardiner, just been delisted by the Saints, in a PSD cupboard that is pretty bare, maybe he is an option.. i personally not a fan of him, but just after thoughts, he is not really the answer, on the oldish side, slow, one dimensional..

Maybe i just answered my own question...

Booted out of two clubs in two years.

We should pick him up, we can make it a hat-trick

He isn't better than Miller. He is a first rate hack who has now failed miserably at two clubs. Definite pass here.

63 games over 7 years, with disposal average of 10.

Over their careers, Miller averages one extra mark per game than Gardiner. Hardly "getting a lot of footy" Gardiner has never had 20 touches. Add to al lthat he's farily useless and has been kicked out of two teams in two years, why would we want him? Aside from one of the major drawbacks being that he'll be 26 next year

SILLY

Nasher has summed it up. He isn't better than Miller. Gardiner is a 2 Club delist. And comparing him to Bartram is mindless.

If you list the players on the MFC list you clearly dont value I dont see the point in talking Gardiner up. We wont take him if we are serious about improving our list.

He's not a two club delist Rhino, the Cats traded him to the Saints with Steven King for pick 90

Every one of those comments re: Gardiner is wrong. Shows how much you know.

People need to realise that players get delisted for a reason.

I still think Geelong got the better of the deal....by a long way.

wrong. if miller was playing for any of the other clubs he would have been delisted too. If Miller was at the cats as Gardiner was then he wouldnt have got past his first contract. After that I honestly dont think another club would have touched him. Gardiner is a hell of a lot better than miller. WIth regards to Miller i've never known a player not being able to mark or even handball properly.

Miller marks per game average: 5.4

Gardiner marks per game average: 4.4

I said "Miller averages one extra mark per game than Gardiner." How is that wrong?

Posted

because its flawed logic. what about minutes per game?...also what about dropped marks per game?...amount of times miller runs underneath the ball per game compared to gardiner? number of clangers per game? number of times any of them got scared in a contest and punched it (instead of marking it) straight down to akermanis directly in front of goals losing a game for their team?

You inability to show even a modest amount of objectivity in assessing Miller symbolises why so many readers of this site hold your views with as such low estimation and smirk at how you seemingly trumpet your derided and silly views.

Not as flawed as your classic comments

"Gardiner is a hell of a lot better than miller." "WIth regards to Miller i've never known a player not being able to mark or even handball properly."

Either way he has averaged more marks than Gardiner. And that takes into account where Miller has played a negating role in defence where stats are low. That stat in itself does little to champion Gardiner. Miller is no star of the game but he isn't the disaster you have ridiculously tried to present.

At least 45Hotgod was able to put up a third party statistical comparison. You perennially post nothing but the limitations of your football knowledge.

you are and always will be a supporter who simply cannot see the big picture. we came last yet you fail to draw on any of the negatives simply because in your mind everything is rosey and all of our players have no flaws.

how is the fact that he has more marks a reflection of him being a better player? it isn't. especially when miller would get significantly more game time than gardiner ever did.

how about you actually have an opinion of your own rhino...its very easy sitting on the fence isn't it

What ever I see dwarfs your microscopic outlook its not funny. In fact I cant think of one "big picture" contribution you have made. Though I am sure you will respond to blow your own trumpet

When did I say that? In fact I have been regularly critical of a number of aspects of MFC list and players.

Making stuff up Freak is the work of simple minds. Yours being in the extreme.

It doesn't but it indeed debunks your silly comment "Gardiner is a hell of a lot better than miller". Beyond your self infatuated hot air what indeed have you put up to support? Nothing but your own hyperbole.

Better than wedging your ass on the fence post isnt it?

Freak i agree with you

gardiner is better than alot of our players!!

hahahah i dont reckon miller would have gotten close to playing a final with st kilda this year

his awreness is rubbish he is sp predictable and misses the target with handballs!!!!

miller or gardiner??

gardiner every day of the week...

(edit) Gardiner played one final out of three, had no influence, and did nothing to stem the Geelong tide.

1 more final than miller would have played. i'm glad 'goose' knows his footy, unlike rhino who has no opinion yet slams those who do.

Michael Rix has also been delisted.

Interest?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
